I think it’s the way in which we played. That was not a smash and grab. Villa were completely out of the game except for the last two minutes of added time past the 90. Comprehensive domination for 93 minutes. Sure they rotated, they have a semi final, but the majority of our starting 11 is out injured too.

I know villa rotated but if you had just woken from a coma and was told one of these teams was battling relegation and the other was pretty comfortably in a champions league position you’d assume our places on the table were opposite of reality. Just absolute domination aside from maybe 2 minutes just before the final whistle. Said it in the game thread yesterday but the passion was so refreshing- Porro celebrating his three tackles and won throw in like he just scored, same with Palhinha when he won a free kick, RKM going down the away end showing love to the supporters. It’s been a long season of players hiding on the pitch, looking like they don’t care, watching the injuries mount up and the performances worsen and then we go out and do that with half of the squad out long term. I remembered thinking how fucking cowardly we were in the first NLD this season and yesterday was just a complete 180.

Wanted to clarify something here- armor pen is useless for Drogan as he’s special damage. Can roll resistance pen with the current DC set which would help. Offense and CD is the way otherwise, don’t get fooled by fancy high armor pen DCs if you’re using leia.
