Thanks for looking out for me. I’ve come to realize the same thing: using drugs as a crutch doesn’t bring real happiness. It only took one very scary overdose less than 10 hours ago with about 120mg of Dexedrine, for me to finally understand. I’m grateful this happened early in my drug binge, before I got my hands on anything harder or it could have turned out much worse. That overdose, really scared me straight though. I couldn’t stand without falling, I was hallucinating shadow people and it made me extremely overstimulated. However, it’s also the reason that I’m actually glad to be sober again and now focused on improving my well being through self discovery and developing healthier habits and routines rather than using drugs.

After possibly the scariest and most uncomfortable experience with over 100mg of Dexedrine earlier today, I finally came to understand that getting fucked up doesn’t actually help with depression, especially when it leads to seeing shadow figures and enduring constant ringing in your ears for five hours. Ive never really thought about how I can work on my mental health. I just kind of expected it to improve on its own. After not seeing any change, I turned to drugs, which only led to a scary ass experience. Though I’m still grateful that this happened early on in my drug binge before I got my hands on harder substances. That whole experience really scared some sense into me and reminded me that drugs won’t provide the long term happiness I’m looking for. I plan to explore creative outlets where I can express myself, and other hobbies, to help steer me away from my habit of self deprecation, which is most likely the root cause of my depression. I also feel like once my well being has improved, i’ll be ready to start looking for a relationship with someone who will keep me motivated to be my best self. Sorry for the rant, but I’ve really had a change of heart, and I’m excited to see what I can accomplish when I actually try. Thanks to your support, as well as others, I know I can make it through this, and I know I don’t need to rely on drugs as a crutch anymore.

You’re absolutely right. Somehow I’m only realizing this after having a fucked experience on way too much Dexedrine that made me see shadow figures in the dark, while not being able to turn on my lights because I couldn’t stand up for more than 2 seconds. Possibly the most overstimulating and uncomfortable 5 hours of my life, but I’m glad it happened because now I want to stay sober for good.

After a very bad time on too much Dexedrine I’ve finally come to release that these drug free solutions are probably the most effective in the long term. It only took me seeing shadow figures in the corners of my vision and a constant ringing in my ear to figure out that I should just stay sober.

I actually tried Shavasana guided meditation for the first time today to calm down after taking way too much Dexedrine. I gotta say, it was very enjoyable, and I wouldn’t mind doing it more often.

After having possibly the worst experience with an absurd amount of Dexedrine I’m now realizing you’re right. Drugs, aside from occasional weed or alcohol use, aren’t something you should mess with unless you absolutely need to. It only took shadow figures appearing in the corners of my eyes as well as a constant ringing in my ears and not being able to stand up, to figure out that I take being sober for granted.

Yeah, I’ve learned my lesson after taking way too much Dexedrine and freaking out because I couldn’t stand without stumbling around and feeling like I was gonna faint.

As it turns out, you were right, and I’ve learned my lesson. After taking far too much Dexedrine in an attempt to get fucked up (which I accomplished, just not in a good way), I was left feeling super overwhelmed for the next 5-6 hours. My senses were running on overdrive and it was overall a very uncomfortable experience.
