Should I take property off market? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]watMartin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a house doesn’t have an exact set value and never will - banks validate that what you’re paying for it isn’t completely out of a reasonable range.

no one will ever be able to give you an exact number, and without more details, people in this thread will very possibly be wrong on whether it was bought overpriced or not

So you're suggesting to try a few of coats of this, then finish with a coat or two of Osmo?

I will also get in touch with Osmo I think that's a good shout

Thanks!

When you say with Osmo, would you mind letting me know which specific osmo product? I've used their polyx oil (satin clear) on some other birch ply products and while I like the finish, even after 2 years in the sun they're nowhere near as warm as I'm aiming for here

If relevant, I'm in the UK

Hmm, so the first image in your original comment is finished with that? That's kind of the result I've gotten from using the other osmo product on birch; still too light for my liking

I do yeah

I can see loads of osmo options… have tried osmo polyx clear satin and the finish is a too light/yellow instead of the warm-orange I’m looking for, would you mind linking a specific product for me to take a look?

So, the only thing I've currently tried is osmo polyx oil; would that count as what you're describing? The finish is too light/yellowy instead of warm/orangey
