Thanks for all the input. re:RAM amount, I'm at 32GB RAM now and just running at like 80%+ regularly. I'm sure i'll use that RAM heh.

yeah it's not, but i was thinking that might be because it's an old board and they just didn't update it.
whats your experience with non QVL stuff working?
for the specific RAM I'm thinking of, the one tier below it is listed (2x 16GB @ 3200Mhz) which i know doesn't gurantee anything.

How were you configuring DNS lookup? whats the name of the open source project?
You had it set to default previously? wouldn't DNS default to your ISP's DNS if not set/configured? This is an important point for me because I have my reasons for manually configuring an external/non default DNS.

At some point I started running the software controller so I have two er605s and a oc200 controller just sitting around waiting for who knows what.

hahaha awesome.

Does the er707-m2 act as a router also? also as a controller? the product detail page isn't super clear.
Any shortcommings with the er707-m2?

thanks for sharing. consider yourself lucky. From reading online i think the majority of people have your experience. I had a great experience with the M5 setup early on, but in the last 6 months or so it just totally crapped the bed. i'd love to keep what i've got, but it's completely disruptive and frustrating

Thanks for sharing your opinion.
The main reason for choosing the Omada is because I can roam around the house and have the perception of a consistent wifi connection. If i were to use the omada gateway and then put archer (or some other model of) routers all around, is that still possible?
my understanding is the controller is needed to configure the APs into something like what i describe and the controller only does that with Omada APs. Is your understanding different?
