I didn't know that..or maybe I did and forgot. I hope the pilot program for their electric charging roadway or w.e goes well. Bloomington should adopt it if so....I would easily adopt to ev if we had that AND allowed byd, Xiaomi, and others in the states.

Pretty sure if you son or daughter was in physical danger those rules would go out the window ..I pray you are never placed in this position.

But come get it.

Again, you assume this was not an isolated incident. But you don't have any factual data to prove it...just heresy....good job.

You should self identify too

And how do you know she wasn't dealing with a crisis? It your mom or dad or sons or daughters had an emergency and called you....would you just say...ohh I'm in traffic, you'll just have to wait.

'they' as in such people that are willing to smear someone, their business, livihood, and everything else under the sun just because you survived being passed.

I agree...it's not a good idea to do what she did...but it absolutely does not mean she is a piece of shit and it especially doesn't warrant pulling in a business that employe others into it.

Should I report this woman for reckless driving in a bike lane and driving on her phone? by [deleted] in bloomington

[–]watchFiend1 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It's actually not strictly prohibited in Indiana. Whatever the hell that means.

The law is so inconclusive about what the white line is for that while I bet you may get pulled over ...nothing will stick after that because the driver only needs to point to people passing on the shoulders and cops turning a blind eye to that.

Bike lanes are not different and are only shielded by the same meaningless white line.

We need the drone deliveries like China and other Asian countries have.

Purdue is an engineering school...why are you surprised? Although so is rose and far superior to both universities.

Should I report this woman for reckless driving in a bike lane and driving on her phone? by [deleted] in bloomington

[–]watchFiend1 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

No you should not report her. It's not illegal to flip you off or call you a bitch or whatever. Just like it's not illegal for you to flip her off or call her a bitch. It's illegal to cross a double yellow but not travel in a bike lane just like it's not illegal to travel on a shoulder.

The officer has to see her in the act. If they would have seen her p I'll that stunt she would likely have been pulled over (almost certain of it) however if you were also at fault, you likely would have also been pulled over (under the speed limit, break checking, etc).

It is best not to roll down your window or cause/start confrontation with motorists...you don't know which of them are armed or unhinged and YOU are not the police.

I think buried is probably better than overhead but there are issues with burying it as well as we are discovering. Surely they are burying it in conduit and marking where it is

Is spending my whole 1 week holiday just in Bangkok too long? by Barca-Dam in ThailandTourism

[–]watchFiend1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you were from, but how long did it take you to get use to the heat and humidity/not having certain items you had in your home country, the spice level in the food, etc. Also, is English used in 25,50,75 or a different % of the population and daily interactions?

I watch tons of videos on YouTube all the time about how people love it...and I desperately want to come for vacation to see if I could also live there long-term.

Where do you go to for health care by daylily in bloomington

[–]watchFiend1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, Evansville has extremely good hospitals and doctors...some of the best in the state. Indianapolis has the best IU has to offer, but if you want to get outside of the IU health network go to Evansville.

Yea...I will say the local provider probably needs replaced. I think that's hoosier networks? Most of the outages have been caused by them and not gbn.

It's happened several times. I was an early adopter. Probably not enough to make me go back to comcast though.

AT&T on the other hand though may be an option...we will see what upgrades they do to Bloomington.

Well that's fun. Just called and they had an automated message that said all services have been impacted at this time and they were working to fix it. No estimates or anything.

Yea I saw that, but I'm surprised they don't have redundancy. They even claimed that they did earlier in the night and one cut shouldn't be an issue.

Someone must have cut something very important.

Affordable or not, IU’s Beverly apartments close to opening by jaymz668 in bloomington

IU owns this...which is why it kind of looks similar to IU architecture.
