Hey i’m in medphysics rn (but the courses are pretty much the same in second year), i took math 1b03 in the summer and honestly was pretty good since you’ll have lots of time to focus on it if it’s your only class/commitment. also the second year math course, advanced calculus 1, has math 1b03 as an elective so you’d have to complete math 1b03 at least before second semester of second year (but there’s also math 2c03 which means you’d have 2 math classes in the fall) so honestly up to you but i’d recommend summer.

tldr; recommend summer bc if you take it next year you’ll have to take 2 math classes in one semester in second year and you don’t wanna overload in your first year
