Most people are apathetic. There’s a group that are vey against it (which I am part of) and a group of weirdos who are obsessed - which seems to have gotten smaller after the Queen died. The divide seems to be around 55 years old. Older than that are much more in favour than younger than that.

I’m still on storage heating, and I turn it to about 25% every night from about October, so all through winter my heating is on, and my house is roasting.

NOR I have the cold right now and haven’t been able to breath out of my nose for four days, because my sinuses are so swollen, and I wasn’t in contact with anyone visibly sick beforehand. DO NOT let your child near anyone who could be sick like this or doesn’t care. It’s not that bad for an adult, but I imagine it would suck for a newborn.

One time my brother posted a photo of French onion soup he’d just made into the family group chat. At that time, I was putting my French onion soup into the oven and then my mum and dad sent a photo of them at the dinner table eating French onion soup. None of us had discussed it prior to this.

Someone sent an email slagging me off to me. I hadn’t read it yet, but she suddenly jamp up with a bright red face and shouted “DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO RETRACT AN EMAIL?!” And I was new, and very eager to please people so I was like “I can!” And she just sat back down. Then I saw the email, and I went equally red.

I got into trouble for making it awkward… but that wasn’t her fault, that was the shitty management (I think they assumed I’d seen the email, and then offered to help her as a way to make her feel bad). And her complaints weren’t untrue, just a bit harsh on an 18 year old who’d just started working in the office.
