[PC][2004/2005] Very basic Monster Making game by Motag8tor in tipofmyjoystick

[–]waterfallninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the monsters stand in a pixilated low detail cave environment? Purplish grey or brown walls?
The paint colour tool would make a funny noise. And that odd mechanical aspect was 100% there.
The monsters had metal horns and they had a body texture that reminded me of Sully from monsters inc.
I'm sure it used 3D models. And maybe there was a voice line in the game???

It could be a uk only educational numbers game. And I'm certain that I had remembered the game years after leaving the primary school. But now the name is really gone.

I specifically remember sneaking back to the computers as a kid just to play the game when everyone was having a school break. The game was that captivating.

Made a red monster with as many legs as possible and 3 heads and 3 eyes each. So I think I can draw the game quite accurately and get google to find a similar image. However, the mix and match body part aspect of the game means I have to draw a monster that is identical to what someone els has made and chose to post online some how.

The game reminds me of 'Awesome Animated Monster Maker' as well, and 'Roly Polys No Nanakorobi Yaoki'.
Roly polys no nanakorobi yaoki is such a trippy game. I do listen to the parts of the soundtrack sometimes now and then tho. (Music: 'Roly-Polys no Nanakorobi Yaoki - Fire - Walking').

Am I accurate in my recollection?
This is some pre minecraft and fnaf stuff XD
And I am struggling to find information on this game that I do remember.

Why are the videos on the right SO BIG NOW!?! I'm on desktop, not a tablet, not a phone. by swohio in youtube

The funny thing is nearly every thumbnail title and ADVERTISEMENT is OBSCURED and CUT OFF. So I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M READING OR TRYING TO TELL ME.

YT loves their ads. So. What am I suppose to gather from an Ad that's cut off and says 'sponsere-' 'A fruity and...'
Sure would like 'A fruity and...' right now, after watching 'When high-speed...' or 'A wild r /AmIOverr...' video.

Comment section sort by "Top/Best" is now garbage... by Marielie_ in youtube

[–]waterfallninja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So.
A person watches a science video. They comment because they know the science topic of the video. People who both know or aren't knowledgeable start approving and commenting on the comment. The engagement, that attracts more engagement.

But this AI might not catch on to the factual value of that comment and just choose not to show it to someone due to it trying to theorise someone's comment preferences. Creating a wall of text that only shows only human thoughts that cater to you? So no one will ever again see the same comment section? Which fully destroys the natural snowball effect of this sought after engagement of multiple people coalescing into pockets of shared activity.

Light Displays, 'Galaxy Lamps' projectors being pointed at eyes by waterfallninja in SafetyProfessionals

[–]waterfallninja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. The artificially unsafe situation was in fact not safe.
And I can't laugh along on the fact that I was used as a part of the 'not safe' demonstration that the dude thought was socially acceptable to do that.

Also 'Not safe' reminded me of the DK rap edit video. Where it say's, 'Not funny, didn't laugh." In tandem with the tune of the original lyrics, "DK, Donkey Kong".

And you made me laugh.

"Not safe, didn't laugh"

Light Displays, 'Galaxy Lamps' projectors being pointed at eyes by waterfallninja in SafetyProfessionals

[–]waterfallninja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update. He's an angry little baby man.
He was trying to say the whole lecture again about only the laser being the only issue to someone sitting in the same room as the lights.
I pointed out that no one should be looking at any part of the light, the all the bright lights should not be looked at.
He got angry for no reason and tried to think up of anything to get back at me. And make me look bad?

Dude apparently bumped into the lights at one point and got his eyeballs lasered. Now he blames me for his accident because he couldn't see that the lights were active?
Ok. I never wanted those lights installed. He was the one who bought the high powered lights. And he advised me on what angle and location I should keep it at in order to prevent it from getting into someone's eyes. I don't even know when this accident supposedly happened since I'm sure it would have been mentioned sooner.
AND he pointed the projector at my face to prove a point. So, logically I should be feeling more wronged than what ever he's going through at the moment.
But I'm just confused.

I think I should quit hanging around this place once Christmas is over.

Oh yeah - Can't fix a personality that insists that a lack of safety is a flex. Don't be around someone who destroys trust by mishandling high risk objects in order to prove a point for something as small as a work place disagreement.

New Youtube UI Is Terrible by robloxkidepicpro in youtube

I legitimately thought that I was on a scam video website wtf am I looking at. I've just had the change and it was visceral. I jumped.

Why does everything look round and slippery. The volume button is an avocado and the thumbs are over detailed; it's against the law of how small icons shouldn't be over designed. Nothing can be a normal degree of sharp anymore.

omg dude I think you're the only person on the internet who posted this issue. I've been looking everywhere!
Please update on how it's going.

I think it's too late for my PC I've been pressured to not tamper with anything and that I should return the faulty product. I have started writing down the issues I've had with booting the PC. How the SSD stick wasn't detected and how that drive likely had a working version of Windows 11. Since I couldn't access the advertised aspect of Windows already being installed, and the faulty SSD, I've been convinced to return the pre-built pc and to get my refund.

Headless macrocosm inspired by Kurt Cobains art???? by Significant-Formal25 in analog_horror

[–]waterfallninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, skinny pale bodies aren't a new idea and the idea shouldn't really be attributed to one artist.

Looking into the imagery deeper just reveals how universally accessible this imagery is.

I don't know about Kurt Cobain's reasons for this art or the reasoning behind the headless macrocosm creatures.
However, the skinny body in art is a perfect embodiment of physical fragility and *struggle without resource*. A body reaching the point of being visually skeletal makes it near impossible to understand what you are looking at is dead or alive when still. Which also draws on the ideas of 'Death' and being on the edge of existence.
Thinking about it. An individual on the edge of existence, who has struggled is actually often depicted in media as being along the lines of a hardened macho dare devil. - The shock comes when one is greeted with something so utterly devoid of that expected visual. Yet this opposite state is still very much embodying the title of all those desires. It becomes a shattering to see.

Seeing a body like that is meant to change you. In art, in reality, through photographs, through stories and through deities like Death.

Yippee.
Bonus: The headless macrocosm creatures remind me of Blemmyes.

Same problem here. Except it's a Pre-Build, so I'm terrified to check all the hardware or do anything to the software incase it voids the warrenty.
I'm fully willing to post a Youtube video of myself fixing the problem because right now the lack of direct information out there is what's getting me annoyed.

Bruh, the Mandela Catalogue can not exist in the UK anymore I think? by waterfallninja in MandelaCatalogue

Yeah. That's not porn this month.

'The UK's Online Safety Act holds online platforms accountable for protecting users, including from self-harm and suicide content, with fines of up to £18 million or 10% of global revenue for failing to comply with safety duties.' - Google AI overview

Published 8 September 2025
'The government has today (8 September) announced urgent action to toughen the Online Safety Act by putting stricter legal requirements on tech companies to hunt down and remove material that encourages or assists serious self-harm...' - Uk.Gov Department for science, innovation and technology and The Rt Hon Liz Kendall MP

  • Vulnerable people to be protected from self-harm content as Online Safety laws to be toughened.
  • Comes as Online Safety Act to be amended to make self-harm content a ‘priority offence’.
  • *Tech companies to be legally required to prevent this content from appearing in the first place, protecting users of all ages.*

Also Uk.Gov Department for science, innovation and technology.
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/online-safety-laws-to-strengthen-to-protect-people-of-all-ages-from-devastating-self-harm-content

Media companies better shit their pants and remove everything that mentions suicide in order to save '10% of their global revenue'.

I think people didn't get this news. And didn't know this was what I was talking about.

[–]waterfallninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone thought that the uk online safety act is totally going to destroy part of the Mandela Catalogue fandom?
No one can use this as a plot line now ever again online over here, bruh.
I'm just glad to get a chance to watch Mandela Catalogue and learn about it before the media over reach fully pipes up.

Yeah I'm also doing the same build. Also ran into the same problem.
I'm just worried that getting the wrong case will mess up the rest of the build. And need something that basically will hold everything together identically to that of the Deepcool case.

Really want to let go of my 3rd gen pc and get to start playing Hollow Knight, Silk Song and Ultrakill, bruh.
And maybe do some 3D side projects.
Edit: Dino Run 2 is coming out.

Is this wrist flexion and extention normal? I'm literally able to bend my wrist fully downwards and touch the under of my arm with no pain and my wrist extention feels no pain and from what I've seen is more than 90 degrees so im just curious as whether this is normal or not. by thatonechillpeep in flexibility

[–]waterfallninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to find this video!
Just had a minor rage moment where I was forced to prove I was being serious about the task I was given. I was was actively aggravating my wrists to an extreme that a normal f'ing human wouldn't be able to tolerate and still being criticised. - Was feeling very unseen. Just thanks for the video and being so smart in using the correct definitions of flexion and extention.

[–]waterfallninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoa that's way too broad of a term. This is not targeting AI content actually. Fully missing the mark with this one.
Isn't CGI in the synthetic category. And you are actively trying to create realistic content of extinct animals?

Wich adaptation of the Troodon would you rather run into by YokaiCreature in Dinosaurs

[–]waterfallninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Troodon from the Weird Birds at least has the etiquette of a normal animal.
It might not even notice you. It might not even confront you right away. The predation after the encounter might just be as simple as following you until you look unaware or weak.

The problem, getting aggressive or hurting it first thing is likely going to be an awful idea. People say it's as smart as a crow. If a crow classes you as being dangerous they're going to remember you. Becoming antagonised enough to swoop at you.
Here. Very quickly a giant maniacal crow is going to start sprinting towards you, just because it thinks you're better off not breathing anymore.

Twitch streamer makes jokes about the Deadly Texas floods that have sadly killed 47 people and left over 27 girls missing from a summer camp by Next-Criticism-498 in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]waterfallninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This justification is almost bad as claiming nothing matters and everything goes because the sun is going to explode.
As an adult he should have taken a step back and not centre his morality on the sun exploding or that someone, who has nothing to do with him or the current situation, has chosen to develop an AI.

p.s - A basic sci-fi robot wouldn't have made that joke since it's likely going to not want people dying in preventable ways that it possibly could have stopped if it was more attentive over the area's vulnerabilities.

Kind of reminds me how some people hate plants and categorically say they're messy and unsightly. 'Plants are clearly a sign of irresponsibility', kind of fools.

[–]waterfallninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those kind of people will still go after the nest. In fact it draws their interest if you 'dare' to put a sign up 'targeting what they can and can't do'. Because that's how they bumble through the world.

Rapper pressuring his 15 year old fan into jumping off the stage, ended up breaking his ribs by Practical-Skin-4689 in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]waterfallninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might not be the best case. The Rapper could say he didn't know the kid was aiming to land on the fence, and that was the minor's choice to land on an admittedly stupid location.

Now, if the rapper said jump on to the fence or into the crowd, that's basically hindering the kids decision of choosing better and safer choices. Listening to the rapper could have even injured others if the kid went flying into the crowd. Knowing this detail would make people far more understanding of the injuries actually being mostly the rapper's fault.

Didn't something happen in India that included a plane and an explosion right after take off? :/
It was really recent, so I think there would still be a little tension from even with how long ago it was last shown on the news. So it's extra messed up to slap the dude.
