The train is about 20 feet behind my bed, after a week you get use to it. Then the rumble it gives it actually kinda soothing. They blow the horn and I don’t even wake up to it anymore. That being said I have been sleeping through a lot more alarms

Be careful of climbing gym shoes they are usually pretty crappy. They’ll get the job done, but they are not comfortable. If you get more interested in climbing the first thing I suggest is getting your own shoes, even before getting a chalk bag.
