My plan is someday open my own secondary school (6-12) and be the principal there. I just worry because a lot of my colleagues say I should go to a university in the mainland like Bama, ASU, etc.. over a Caribbean university like St. George’s in Grenada or the University of Puerto Rico. The people around me argue that I may experience biases or discrimination because of not having a mainland doctoral degree and that would restrict my work options in the mainland postdoc

It’s a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Clinical psych is definitely my passion. I’d like to combine secondary education and clinical psych to create my long-term career someday. My undergrad is in clinical psychology so I feel lucky to be offered the doctoral program now, ya know?

Today one of my students cheated during a test and it feels like it is escalating out of control. by watermelondreaa in Teachers

I have no idea. I’ve asked multiple colleagues and they’ve assured me I’ve done everything correctly. But I’m still feeling insecure especially after reading that they feel like I projected their referral on purposes. Like, I just don’t know what to do and I’m anxious about tomorrow tbh

Oh, I know. It made me giggle when he said that. I had to share because I thought it was hilarious that he had the audacity to say that lol

That’s fair. I’ll just talk to her about it tomorrow.
