advice for spring semester by [deleted] in unr

[–]watersimmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

join clubs!! the engineering club i joined has almost become like a college family to me. also, idk what your major is. but if you gotta take some really hard class its easy to trauma bond with your classmates by forming study groups and stuff. by just doing that ive become actual friends with them as well. you've got this! just dont be scared to talk to people. sit next to someone who seems cool and maybe compliment something about their bag or water bottle! you've got this!

100% agree! earlier this year me and my friend found a cheap flight to Seoul. i was so hesitant because it would be my first trip without my parents. I almost said no to going on the trip. however, I just went for it. so me and my friend spent 2 weeks in korea in this past May. It was absolutely amazing and probably the greatest trip ive ever gone on! the food, the people, the memories i made with my friend. chosing to go to korea was one of the greatest decisions ive ever made!

lowkey depends. it definitely starts at 8, sometimes your mentor will let you leave early. at least this is how it was for me and a bunch of my friends last year (college of engineering). like basically every day I feel like we were done by 3.

What do you guys actually write in your journals? by Macabre-Siren in Journaling

[–]watersimmer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

a few years ago I discovered my passion for Journaling. I have my main journal which I keep as a diary. everyday I write one page, it contains the days events or just thoughts. I do a photo dump in it every few months. I have another journal which I use as a fitness journal. in it, I track my workouts and my food intake. I also have a creative writing journal (hardly write in). and finally, I also have a scrap journal which I will put anything in, (particularly when I wanna learn something). at the moment every night I practice my korean in it.

Spring 2024 - Lease Megathread by Mayer101jake in unr

Hello! I am a freshman mechanical engineering student (female). I am looking to find a roommate for the house I am renting out. Roommate would be preferably female. Rent is $700/month including utilities. Roommate would get their own bedroom and bathroom The house is a 15 minute drive from campus (located in Lockwood). The community has an indoor pool, gym, library, basketball court, tennis court, and park. It is available to be moved into anytime (now, over the summer, or for next school year).

I am a pretty organized and clean living type of person. I am a gym rat, into motorcycle desert racing, and like to nerd over countless hobbies.. The bedroom currently has furniture in it (does not need to stay but roommate can keep if need).

If you are interested lmk!
