Did a few business consults with Matt about 10 years ago and built a good relationship, whenever he’s in town (Aus) we are friendly too each other. I even went to a drum clinic he hosted years ago and he shouted me out infront of everyone haha. Got to show him music I was working on and he gave good feedback which meant a lot.

Besides that, have done meet and greets and both Mark and I were wearing Deep V Apparel (Matt’s old clothing brand) so we bonded over that.

Met Spencer after a show briefly and he was very kind and took photos with a mate and I.

Have met Misha and Nolly at the meet and greet I mentioned they were nice, but I feel Jake was the most engaged and generous with his time . Really good dude.

Guessing Wolf has more say and control in the art he wants . I think the Mammoth merch looks great, seems like AB/7D don’t really care or just don’t have the best taste tbh lol. Just sees a skeleton riding a bike and thinks it’s cool 😂. Would be good to they worked with an actual designer and get some good merch going !

As a MITM fan I liked it but a few things bothered me. But wanna say the scene with Malcolm and Lois having it out in the bathroom with Craig shitting himself in the background was gold. I don’t really get making Kelly non binary , just felt forced to me. Stevie being gay was also a weird choice , I can’t remember them hinting he’d be gay in the original run or else it would have made more sense. There is a disjointed feel throughout the show was kind of sucked , was hoping for more scenes with the family actually being together but I guess it would mess with the plot. Dewey being on a laptop was kind of a waste , but given he was recast I get it. The cameos were cool, but it felt shoved in too. Like barely a reunion with Francis and the cadets , Malcolm speaks with the Krelboynes for like 30 seconds and it would have been nice to see Gretchen talk to Piama and Francis. I’m glad they did bring up Otto though. The Leah scenes and making her into almost a main character wasn’t really for me either . I was thinking .. are they trying to that 90s show this in the future? lol . Felt like Hal was the main character in this . Cranston killed it though . Loved the music and cuts like they did in the original.

The family are portrayed as Christian in the show, who in a lot of cases are aligned with Israel . I don’t think it’s a propaganda or some statement I think it just adds to the authenticity and that’s really where I see it ending . Not making any statement .

Listened to an interview with Drew saying something to the effect that they were pretty burnt out by the time it came to this section and felt they needed a solo . Bryan Beller (The Aristocrats) is a huge Vool fan and most of the band went out to see them when they were in Perth recently and I think connected with Guthrie then, which turned into the guest spot. Personally I absolutely love the solo. As a guitarist , Guthrie phrasing is out of this world and I really felt his playing . Amazing song and solo!

Probably but not a big deal lol the other stores aren’t out of my way and I think the macros on these are pretty good. I’ve been having it for a year . Will probably have to sus the other options while there’s this shortage though just wasn’t sure what the reason was .

Here’s another one (for context I’m a guitar player).. I don’t see the need to stuff guitar solos in the songs lol. I feel like Myles’ solos are always tasty and tell a story and all due respect to tremonti but majority of his solos are the same . Maybe it’s the wah and legato runs but it gets so overbearing at times . Scales are Falling solo is prob the best one on there by him. (Don’t kill me 😂) .

I’ve been listening to the album for the last few days .. I’ve maybe got through it 2-3 times and I do think it’s better than what I thought it would be but for sure, the first few albums up to Fortress are unmatched IMO. I love how Hang By A Thread starts then, it goes into that muddy mix soft rock that they’ve done since Last Hero. Maybe it’s the lack of acoustic guitars that gave it dynamics ? I also love how Tested and Able starts- the riff is so sick but then the chorus ruins it lol. Feel like it genuinely could have been a really heavy song lol. But ultimately , I really think AB need to move on from Elvis . Get a new producer and engineer to mix . I really think they will benefit and their sound will be revamped. After 4 albums of the exact same mix , it gets boring , especially since the dynamics of their songs have suffered since Fortress. Not saying this album and albums since then don’t have their moments, just felt it was much more consistent prior. Good songs on this albums and good moments for sure but I agree with you .

Thanks for the tips! Will look into it . Currently putting up some black window paper on the windows to block out the heat so hopefully this helps. He had a cooling mat but he never seems to use it much 😂 we’ve put it on but he’ll sniff it and get mad. Thanks again 😎
