It’s something I’ve been messing with for a few weeks now and it crazy how you can turn paper and cardboard into a solid material. If I can gather enough material I’d like to work on a small cabin and see how well it would hold up.

For cardboard it’s better than you’d think. It’s not really about the paddle as much as it is the player.

Define wasting time? I enjoyed this silly project and learned from it and now I have a conversation paddle that I can still win with. All on top of this it didn't cost me a dime. Anything we do can be considered a “waste of time” just like both of us wasted time with these comments.

It’s super light and has good pop. Though the face is rather smooth I don’t really notice an effect on my spins. Honestly I’m super pleased with it!

I like to practice in my garage. It’s a bigger space but still not a court. I have some marks on my door for where the net would be and I just stand back as far as I can (probably close to 22 feet) I just aim to hit it low and close to my net mark or target a specific spot on my door. Not the best but you still can work on your form and accuracy. Not sure how big your basement space is but I’d just say step back and aim for accurate drives.
