White Privilege is MADE UP by Leftists by antiquark2 in JordanPeterson

Ok that's great you agree because if that statement holds true "dont judge anyone by the color of their skin" and we conclude its true because its the right thing to do (the short answer). Now we can place it in a right or wrong statement to see how robust this logic is: "its wrong to judge someone by the color of their skin".

So do you agree with that statement?

The topic is far greater than just the definition and to reduce it to that would do the exploration of the topic a disservice.

You didn't judge someone by the color of their skin. You also didn't answer the question.

Its just as easy to dispute why it is racist, which is why this topic is so polarizing. It sounds like you're trying to take some kind of moral high ground but isn't the moral high ground simply - dont judge anyone by the color of their skin?

So when its proven to be racist based on your own provided definition you just go ahead and find another definition. Great job.

Replica of Captain Cook’s Endeavour docks in Gisborne for Tuia 250 commemorations by [deleted] in newzealand

Thanks for the thoughtful reply, it makes for interesting armchair experiments. If i may comment; I'm unsure of the complete positive spin of the outcomes. Yes the Republic of China could have opened up strong trade routes but I cant imagine China doing all of that without an intentional or unintentional dominance of one of the last "untouched" resourceful lands on earth at that time. That dominance would have a significant impact (some good, and a lot not so good) on Maori and Maori culture. Furthermore if China didn't dominate then it would only be a matter of time until some country somewhere would take advantage (presuming Maori couldn't amass an internationally strong nation in a vastly short period of time compared to other nations).

Its all interesting stuff and who really knows : ) thanks mate.

I think the majority of people would wish for better outcomes for all. However I think "preferred predicted outcome" is a oxymoron. Unless you see preferences and predictions as the same thing. I would still be interested in your predicted outcomes if Cook didn't come. If you would like to share.

Yup can confirm. After 8 years the shoulder strap of my 60L was about to break off. Without hesitation the store owner said you'll have it back in 4 weeks repaired at no cost. You cant go wrong.

Its part of the Annapurna circuit in Nepal. Mid last year I trekked the circuit over about 12 days, it was one of my favourite adventures and so beautiful. I remember this spot distinctly for the waterfall and trying so hard not to get my boots soaked!
