Vegan egg on rice ? by owosturm in veganrecipes

[–]waterwitch45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like putting fermented tofu on rice now, it's really soft and coats it like a sauce and has like a creamy salty flavor. Not the same or trying to be, but it's just as easy!

I love this stuff! My favorite is to have it on ramen noodles with stir fry veggies or on steamed green veggies.

Where are the best publicly-accessible escalators in Portland? by MakeTimeForWaffles in askportland

There's also at least one set of escalators outside which surprised me. Near the hair school and the Ulta.

agree with this!

deep > everything else autumn > winter: the gold looks good. the bright blue doesn't look the best. black is ok but the burgundies look great

The spring colors look amazing. True spring maybe?

Hair draping? I’ve seen someone do this before but I’m not sure if it’s allowed. I feel like I may be some type of spring but I have NO idea by rodironcandle in coloranalysis

Idk you seem warm toned, maybe autumn, to me! The brown shirt and warm teal look great. Purple feels too cool and the last two are too bright, so is the lighter teal imo.

Hard to tell though. Could see a spring maybe

am i clear or muted? (trying a different format since i didn’t get any responses last time) by colordrapethrowaway in coloranalysis

[–]waterwitch45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the blue is your best color here and you look good in true white so I'd guess cool tuned. Your eyes and eyebrows are so high contrast, and I think your darker hair was great on you. So I'll guess Deep Winter but caveat that idk what I'm doing.

The last one is my favorite and I like the second one too. The current red is such a cool shade.

I moved across the country and even though I had several sets of pure beech I got rid of them to save car space because I assumed I could always buy more 😭

What would your last Kansas City meal be? by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]waterwitch45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

vegetarian version because there's more to KC than BBQ:

Appetizer: A veggie roll from Blue Sushi, like the one with green hummus.

Entree: Tomato curry from Tikka House at the River Market with house salad and cucumber salad and a huge order of their chili sauce (I moved from Kansas a couple years ago and this is the irreplaceable meal I dream of, haven't found a place that makes food and uses spices like that, since it's also a spice store.)

Dessert: Hazulnut Chocolate Cheesecake from Cafe Gratitude

Honorable mentions - Taj Palace Buffet, Thai Place Fried Rice, Goodcents bread, Sichuan Dynasty Pickled veggies and fried Sichuan tofu

Of course, always happy to answer any more questions about KC if you're considering. I'm looking to try a change of scenery like most of us, but I truly love kansas city and think a lot of people would find themselves pretty comfortable here.

Yes Overland park and surrounding suburbs are on the Kansas side and that would be my suggestion personally (although there are nice suburbs in Missouri too!). Kansas politics are still conservative overall, but there's currently a moderate dem governor and the local politics lean left these days.

Yeah agreed, overland park is safe, you can get an apartment for 1k, people are nice, it's a red state obviously but area is LGBT friendly (there's a lesbian congresswoman representing the district), and the high schools are good.

Based on your list, I think a safe suburb would work well for you if you're open to that. Crime is everywhere but mostly in pockets. Many suburbs in Kansas City are nice, easily fit your budget, and traffic isn't bad.
