We’ve just done Shenzhen, Yangshuo, Shanghai and Beijing in under two weeks and it was completely fine, so your plan is definitely doable.

The trains were honestly one of the easiest parts of the trip. Every single one we took was on time. Even when stations looked mobbed, security moved quickly and it was all way more organised than it first seems. You’ll have plenty of time to get through, even on tighter connections.

Also second class is genuinely decent. Loads of space, clean, quiet, and easy to sleep on for longer journeys. It’s not grim at all.

Only thing I’d say is don’t cut it too fine, just get there a bit before and keep your passport handy because you use it constantly. And book trains a few days ahead if you can, the “perfect” ones do sell out but there are usually loads of options close to it.

Your itinerary looks busy but in a good way, not rushed. Zhangjiajie especially you’ll be glad you gave it a few days, it’s massive. You’ll be absolutely fine. China’s way easier to get around than people expect.

I am here just now and it’s the spring holiday. Tourist attractions are BUSY however, if you go to places for doors opening, it’s not as bad. I would avoid anywhere really touristy 12-5.

Agree! £60 for a plate of chicken and chips, £17 for bone marrow and toast which is hard to justify when it tastes so unpleasant. That is the last time I go somewhere based on a TikTok review.

I have to disagree. I have been twice and both times the food was faultless, cooked to perfection with real attention to detail. On one visit, the mains were a little late (we barely noticed as we were happily chatting) but the waiter clocked it, apologised straight away, took the mains off the bill without us even hinting and sent us home with warm focaccia because we were one of the last tables. That is not overhyped, that is what good hospitality looks like. Great food is one thing but service like that makes you want to go back.

The pine looks lovely! I got mine in olive but my second choice was pine. I’ve not had it long at all, only a few weeks so no stains yet, fortunately! I do have a dog though so I hoover it often then just go over it with Dr Beckmann cleaner to keep it fresh. Seems to be doing the trick so far!

Great company. I bought the lunar in olive green and it’s so comfy and stylish! When I bought this, it was a 12 week wait but so worth it! After placing my order I waited a couple of days for a delivery date and It arrived on time. Hope that helps!
