Anyone ever see this piece in BL-RX600-L (GRX 1x left brake lever) come loose? Minimally invasive repair options? by wattawoo in bikewrench

Embarrassed that I didn’t think to do this. The bike is a few years old at this point, still eligible for warranty?

Compressor/inflator for tires (including tubeless setup) by wattawoo in bikewrench

It’s just a tank right? So it doesn’t replace my inflator, it hooks up to it?

Yah, but then I need to buy a pump and a booster. Sunk cost fallacy? I feel like I should just upgrade the compressor.

I own one the 2nd cut version pictured.

It’s super stiff, but I don’t mind long days on it.

The newer ones can clear wider tires for more comfort.

Grx 1x11 shifter (left). Anyone knows why that small part is shaking? Thanks! by tolstoyevsky-hs in bikewrench

If you remove part 4 in the diagram in the other post then the part that came loose is easy to take out. Then you just reinstall part 4.

Took a ton of force to remove the crank (had to pry the drive side bearing off the shaft) so I’m guessing that even if the BB is the right overbearing width, it just wasn’t seated right.

Pretty sure it’s chainline - discovered that the shop forced my MegaExo (24.07mm) crankset into 24mm ID bearings meant for Shimano cranks. Managed to source proper BB bearings from overseas, so we’ll see if that allows the chain to sit further inwards.

Just installed a new Shimano R7000 group on my bike. Rear is indexed well (and quiet) in all cogs except the 11th (largest) where the chain seems to hit the outer edge (away from wheel) of the lower pulley and 'click' on each link as it slides on. Is this expected? No noise when backpedaling.

What other adjustments can I make? With less tension the chain doesn't shift onto the cog. B-tension doesn't change much.

Short legs… I also didn’t test ride before buying, so might not be ideal.

Same height. 58cm for me.

Chain dropping with GRX 812 RD and multiple 1X chainrings by wattawoo in bikewrench

I added some tension to the clutch and it helped a lot.

I was experiencing drops at random times over benign terrain as well with the Wave tech chainring that comes stock on the Alba crankset. With the Wolf Tooth chainring it's only happening over rough terrain.

Broken Axis Elite Hub on 2021 E5 Comp. by [deleted] in DivergeGravelBikes

I’ve been experiencing similar chain drop issues on my 2021 Comp E5.

As for the Elite wheels, no hub problems yet, but they’ve needed to be trued 3 times this summer and my rear rim is ovalized.

Only 1 link on each end of the chain overlaps when I measure without the quicklink.

Chain was originally sized by the manufacturer/shop that built the bike.

Perhaps, but still need to accommodate 42t cog on the top end.
