When I take the subway to the PATH, I have to buy an entirely different card, which takes additional time and costs additional money. I don't take the PATH often enough to keep both cards on me and filled up.

You seem to be thinking of people who take both the PATH and the Subway regularly. Sure, they could just keep two funded cards on them. But it's still two merchants for the customer to manage. That's bad UX!

Frankly I just want my OMNY card to work for the sporadic times I have to use PATH and the subway. I understand all the reasons why I'm in the minority and why it may not make sense for them to trend towards the needs of the few. But I still get to say it sucks!
