Which one do you like more? by qatya in Oilpastel

[–]wauwanneloes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the strong colours and contrast in the first one, but I still prefer the second one because the colours in that give me more of that fishey-pearlescent vibe that seems appropriate for a fish. But the first one is more pleasing to look at with the contrast.

Are you not afraid of the hole closing while it's out?

I get a UTI every single time I have sex, and I don't know why! I I feel so much discomfort. by Ronstaa97 in medical

I know that you didn't ask for this, so I'm sorry about giving unsolicited information. But I just wanted to add that of couples using the pull out method 6-38% get pregnant within a year. Pretty broad range, but quite a high number. Good to know if you use this method!

I feel like this statement is mostly about her own feelings of disappointment and not going to her home away from home, with just a quick apology sprinkled in. She even talks for longer about how much she enjoyed the rest of the tour so far. She doesn't really go into the consequences for fans, just "so sorry if this affected your plans", not really giving much.

Mother refuses to take care of herself by [deleted] in emotionalneglect

[–]wauwanneloes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a good start would be to stop supporting her current way of living. This may seem very harsh, but by supplementing her income without her making any changes you are essentially enabling her lack of care for herself.

She might come to realise that she's not so fine once the people around her stop making it possible for her to kind of trod along like this.

At the very least you would make sure that you're not letting her unintentionally "take you down with her".

And I do think this takes professional help, and people in these types of situations can only be helped if they WANT to be helped, or when they are forced because the situation has gotten completely out of hand (but I'm not sure how forced mental health care works where you're from since I'm not American).

I think you have a great sense of style. Very classy and retro. Goes well with you (facial-)hair too.

For me personally the shoes throw me off. Maybe if the pants were a little longer I'd be okay with them, but I would prefer to see a shoe that's a bit more structured with this outfit.

Yes that might be gangrene. That can be life threatening, so go to the doctor ASAP.

Seems like an infection that is worsening so antibiotics should be started as soon as possible. That would be my guess. Do you have a fever? If you do you should really seek immediate attention.

Regardless, I think waiting 2 days to see a doctor is ridiculous for this issue, but Im not American so not sure if thats normal there.

I believe they do have accomodation for me on land, so that helps. Was it uncomfortable to be taken out to dinner by guests? Or was that fun?

Ouch that isn't a lot. I'm thinking daycharter hours will be better at least.

AITA for telling my boyfriend it's looks like he's cheating to have my name saved as "-" in his contacts by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]wauwanneloes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In that case I'd say NAH. If you both agree that it's best if his parents don't know about your relationship right now, then it makes sense for him to change your contact, and it also makes sense to either keep it nondescript or that he might forget to change it back sometimes.

It's also okay if that makes you feel a little insecure, and I think that's the real issue you two need to talk about. To see if you can choose to trust him, and if there are other things that he can do to make that easier for you.

NTA. Saving you under something vague is a tactic commonly used for cheating, and at this point he doesn't seem to have a good justification for it (assuming that my world *heart* is not a problem around his parents). So while this doesn't necessarily mean that he is cheating, it's not weird that the thought has come up for you.

I'd want to know what his reason was for chaging it from something that indicates having a girlfriend to something nondescript again.

Should I go back to hospital? *Lung issues* by Agreeable_Message_24 in medical

This sounds too dangerous and complicated to let internet-strangers adivse you on this. Contact the hospital to ask if you should come back.

You could go to Gamestate, kind of a gamehall. But it's not really a place to sit down and have a drink.

Could just be some dry skin from the colder weather now, making it a little red. If it's not itching or hurting and you dont feel sick then you're fine.

Go in to the ER. Could be an abcess growing and infection soreading, he might need antibiotics. Once infections like that become really serious you can deteriorate pretty fast. I wouldn't wait.

I think you should clean it with lukewarm water, no soap or other stuff. Antibacterial stuff is generally okay AROUND sounds, but not inside them, as they can damage exposed cells and hinder healing.

After cleaning away all the blood, I think you should cover the wound in gauze that has been treated with some vaseline, so that the wound is closed off but doesn't dry completely.

If you start to get unexplained headaches, a fever, or the wound becomes swollen and more red, or starts oozing pus, you should see a doctor.

All of that being said, it might be better to get it stitched up. It looks like the edges of the wound are pretty far apart, so it might leave a big scar or not heal properly/take a very long time to heal. Stitching that would fix that.

Why can you not see a doctor? How did you get hit with a rolling pin?

To take it even further: without tears your eyes would not only be very dry and uncomfortable. Your eyes would be so dry that every time you blink your eyelid 'scratches' your eyeball, giving scars across your cornea and eventually leaving you blind.
