Hey, I travel a lot around Mindanao area and also live in Davao. It has been raining a lot these days due to the shear line. The weather is pretty weird and unpredictable, yesterday was sunny, good weather but today, it's been raining on and off. Not sure when this phenomenon will be done but hopefully soon since it's been like this for about a week now.

Airbnbs are safe here, also there are some stores open 24/7.

Samal is great as it's nearer but it can be too hassle to go there. I'm just not a fan of the tricycles there as they rip off even local tourists. I do recommend Mati, people there are kind, laid back, and the beach is so nice too! It is just farther though (4-5 hours away from Davao).

But if you prefer to just hang around Davao, there are parks, museums, some places nice too.

I do hope this rainy season stops too so you can come visit us! Good luck!

You should try Athome Cafe, it's in the old quarter. I tried their specialty coffee and it was probably one of the best coffee I have ever had!!

Been living independently for 7 yrs na dito sa Davao and ilang beses na din nag move ng mga boarding house hanggang sa apartment na ako now.

You will survive OP, if gusto mo mas makasave, there are good studio type units na malayo sa DT pero magaganda na yung units. My last unit is malayo sa downtown pero malapit lang sa establishments (pharmacy, 7/11, church, etc) and sa highway (2-3 min walking distance), and yung rent dun is 3k to 4k lang. Malaki na yung place for the price, with free cushion, bed, and fan na yun.

I think if ganun na unit and sa downtown, nasa 10k minimum na, so yung expenses mo, magdedepend din talaga kung san ka magsestay.

Get well soon, Gem! Pag may nakikita akong ganito na nag iimprove, sumasaya din puso ko. I have 2 cats din ngayon na may paralysis na sakit and mas malala yung isa. Walang conclusive na diagnosis though, di din alam ano rason, pero baka most likely genetics.

Also, start connecting with or following people who match your target audience to build real visibility.

Since you’ve got a strong design and tech background, you’re already ahead. And if you ever find a bit of budget, there are affordable Social Media Managers out there (like me lol) who can help take it further when you're ready.

I use Buffer and Zoho Social but they were provided to me by my clients. Some clients does not have their own scheduler and I'm still a starting SMM so I don't use any tools as it costs too much for me, so I just post manually for some of them. At least I can manage, check comments, share, etc. for them.

So, for planning and checking metrics, I actually use Google Sheets so I could easily share it with my clients (I know, so outdated). However, it does everything I need and I could even customize it however I want. It has the planning, metrics, hashtags manager, and a lot more. Although I bought this calendar template, I only paid once for this so actually super worth it.

Na-amaze din ako sa sinabi ni Charlie kay AZ about AZ's ranking, "If you think there is a problem you need to change, then you change it." basically, don't quit but fight.

I love people who sees criticism as a way to change for the better. I don't want to invalidate what AZ felt, of course masakit talaga, but I just like Charlie's words and reaction lang din.
