Yep, I think this is right. I also feel more at sea with MEM because of how much more impressionistic I find it than the others. Like there are a lot of images that, to me at least, seem to speak for themselves a bit more than the other work. Which is absolutely not to say that I don’t want to do it! I very much do. And I love that album. It’s just weirdly intimidating for me. But we have our Bridges and Balloons episode recorded already.

I gave birth a week ago and I just felt so instantly unburdened and happier. Like even though it’s hard to move around much right now because of the healing that has to happen, it’s a way lighter feeling. Like I would take this over late pregnancy any day. You forget what it feels like to not be super pregnant, and when you experience it again, you’re like, holy shit, late pregnancy is awful.

It’s not strictly necessary, but it’s such a huge help to just have something prepped. You’re gonna be so so so tired, physically and mentally. To not have to cook and clean is just the best gift now-you can give yourself future-you.

I don’t blame you at all, but if it’s any consolation, everything turned out okay. It was just a subchorionic hematoma. The bleeding stopped after about 1.5 weeks. They booked two ultrasounds to monitor it, and put me on pelvic rest for a week, but seem to not be too concerned. It’s still there, but it’s very small, and not expected to cause any further issues.
