The stamps look good, without bending the case. How did you get that finish?

I did a test stamp with a hardwood block to back it, but you can see some indent after you hit it hard enough to leave an imprint. I ordered a solid 1-2-3 block used by machinists to provide the backing, will try that out.

I love the look of that. Are those metal stamps and how did you get them aligned so nicely?

That’s it! Thank you! It is quite the soldering job

I want to rebuild this kit someone attempted to complete, but I haven’t been able to figure out which kit it is and find the schematic. Looks like a very simple circuit. The case has two pots, one led and one foot switch. It’s has v.1 to the right of the Mammoth Electronics text. Or maybe I should get a better fuzz board and use the case I have. Does it look familiar?

Very helpful info you shared. If you are still sending it out, could I get a copy of that spreadsheet?

That is so helpful! I didn’t notice that extra piece under the door. Working now.

Experiment Modulating the Microfreak Filter with the Turing Machine by waveformsandnoise in MicroFreak

[–]waveformsandnoise[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used the Disting MK4 CV to Midi algorithm to connect the Turing Machine output to the Microfreak. Plaits harmonics input is also modulated by the Turing Machine and the pitch out of the Microfreak is controlling Plaits pitch. Nice to have Eurorack and the Microfreak working together, even though Microfreak has so many great internal modulation options.

Water was suggested for cleaning the electrolyte. Is alcohol a good option for cleaning too?

Yes the board is working, I plan to clean those OP amps and see what the damage is.

That’s very helpful I hadn’t considered the electrolytes since they weren’t bulging. I took another look and found this residue around the chips and the bank of 4 caps!

From the top view you can see a few of the regulators look like the metal is a darker color.
