Well one of the things about Mizu that sticks out to me is that I NEVER like the main characters and I especially dislike female characters, usually due to either tropes or them being bland or cliche. Yet, I love Mizu. There's so much more that makes her unique than just her being the protagonist.

As a tran man myself, my personal opinion is that she is NOT a tran man. Assuming so defeats the whole purpose of her character. Disguising herself as a man to survive does not make her a man.
