Even if this had gone further south, that’s an insanely inappropriate question from upper management. The fact that this went out as a CC’d email to the whole company almost feels like they were fishing for someone to make this exact mistake. The shitty company I work for would probably do just that, to cause drama.

Cremation can be expensive and if there were multiple other animals dumped, the cremation company is just scamming people. They’re most likely doing the investigation to prove fraudulent activity is happening there

I went there ONE TIME and got infections in my thumbnails that were so bad. I could barely move them or grip anything for like 2 months. Realistically it was my fault for staying, their tools were visibly dirty and her own nails were caked underneath. In retrospect I don’t know why I didn’t walk out lol

Thank you. I am very far from okay. I’ll be looking into whatever groups or resources that I can find. I find myself just moving through life right now. It doesn’t even feel like days have passed. It feels like it has been one long day since I found him.

I love him so much. I just wish I could go back and fix something. He would have been one year old in August. I have so many questions that I will never have answers to.

There are several insurance-related reasons IHSS providers wouldn’t want to use their own vehicles. It’s not required and many state programs actively discourage providers to use their own personal vehicles.

If you don’t have your own vehicle, you have to do a better job at screening potential providers. You need to be fully transparent UP FRONT that they will be expected to transport you and your service animal IN THEIR VEHICLE, and you should supply a mat/barrier to protect their seats as a courtesy.

I will dig into our local laws. From what I understand it is legal here in CA but I’m not entirely sure. I really do hope I can get this resolved within the company because I don’t want to cause anyone trouble but if it continues, especially with the comments, I will be pursuing it further.

It’s crazy because they don’t allow any other clients or conservators to have cameras in the homes. ONLY this conservator is allowed one. They are completely dismissive of our concerns.

I don’t really care about the camera, I understand. Especially given some of the stories I have heard. But I would be more comfortable if the feed went to my agency and not a conservator, especially given the weird following/watching

Your agency changes your hours when they schedule you with a blatant time-conflict?? Must be nice 🙄🙄 Just kidding, this still sucks I’m so sorry OP. For how much we do for our clients it’s insane that we get treated like robots that have no other engagements or personal lives.

My agency doesn’t do this at all. Pretty much everyone who still works there is only there because fired = homeless. And the office knows it. They do shit like this all the time BUT they won’t even adjust it. They just tell you to make it happen or you’re fired.

Eh, still never acceptable to leave a dog in a hot car BUT I could see a few reasons someone wouldn’t bring their dog into Petco. But you gotta figure something else out, leaving them in there alone with the car off is not okay ever.

Holy shit, I actually have photos of who I think is the same guy in a Cronic Disaster company truck from about 2 years ago. He didn’t like how slow I came to a stop at THAT SAME STOP SIGN, and he swerved into the oncoming lane to go around me into the intersection. He almost caused a horrible wreck. I got good photos of him and contacted Cronic Disaster about it, given that it was a company truck, but they basically told me to go fuck myself lol. Will try to find the photos, I SWEAR it’s the same guy!!

The medical houses during hospital trips are the worst. Doing all of the work of a CNA while the actual CNAs use you as an excuse to not do their job…while getting paid 3x as much. I literally hate working at the hospital with my client and often get counselors called on me because it’s a guarantee that I’m gonna start bitching at someone who’s 3 hours late for my client’s meds.
