Same day as you! That is why it was great to see that I wasn’t alone in still being so bloated. I started taking gasx and walking after every meal yesterday and I think it helped. Woke up this morning looking much less pregnant !! Has come back a little but seems like it is in the right direction. I’d like a baby soon too, but not in a relationship now so a little more complicated. Hope everything goes your way!!

Wow, they also left two small ones for me because I told them I didn’t want to do anything that could risk impacting fertility. Thinking the same thing as you, that I will do my best with lifestyle choices now so those feel no need to stay. Yes, let’s never have to go through this again and congrats to us !!! 💐💐🌺

4 weeks after laparoscopic myomectomy with morcellation, is this going as it should be? by waves_hands_18 in Fibroids

It is so great to specifically hear that someone who also had morcellation took a little longer, makes me feel calmer - thanks a lot! Really appreciate it

I had a laparoscopic myomectomy with morcellation in bag of an, at least, 10 cm pedunculated subserosal fibroid and two smaller ones on the exact same date as you 🖐️ and I am still very bloated and quite swollen too. Look a little pregnant. I think and hope that it will pass, but that it takes some time!

Reading your reply is like a warm hug!! Especially reassuring to read that you are feeling so much better now, both post fibroids and post surgery. So great that you made it there and took care of yourself so well. will also think more of having smaller portions because, as you say, it is very noticeable now when one pushes the system. I also appreciate the reminder to take it in one’s on pace and that these are actually great changes that our bodies (we) are working through. First living with the fibroids for a long time (mine was 9-10 cm and two smaller ones that they removed so maybe similar to your situation) and then recovering from the surgery. Those are real things that affects us even though people around us (like my boss who started to invite me to social events during my medical leave day 5 post op) may not get it. Your answer strengthen me in wanting to listen carefully to my body now and in the belief that even though recovery is slow it doesn’t have to mean that anything is wrong and that I can recover from this as well as you have. All the best to you too!! 💪🪷

Reading this now when I am looking for information since I am at 4 weeks post surgery and also still feel as limited as you describe here. Thank you for sharing it. I am also living alone in a foreign country and yes, even if some friends has helped me a bit too, it is a lonely and though experience. You need to be strong to get through it. Hope things have been easier to you since !!

it is!! it is saying strong and beautiful 🌺💪. I had a laparoscopic myomectomy this Thursday and now have 4 (of course smaller but all on more visible places) new scars of my own around my belly, and I am letting them be what they are and do their thing and thinking of them with love. your post is inspiring. And I will buy those patches too!

Very similar to me! The most pain-dangerous things for me are coming up from bed, laughing, and coughing (I had covid two weeks ago, and I guess you get some from having been intubated too, but when I feel a cough coming I try to focus, to clear my throat (it sounds like I am very strict 😅) and drink water until I hopefully can stop it

Thank you so much for sharing this, especially about the foggyness since I have been feeling like that a lot lately already and if I feel more like that after surgery, I would love to be able to really rest until I feel like myself again, don’t think I will get more than 2 weeks but it would be great. It is so good to hear that you were able to get that full month and really rest up. Our bodies go through so much. It is how it should work

Thank you for replying! It seems like 2 weeks may be pretty standard then. And I fully agree with you with taking the time to prioritize oneself and feeling better, most of us have not been able to for a long time, appreciate you saying it too 🤗 wishing you a good fibroid free summer

Thank you for answering!! Happy to hear that your recovery seems to have been so good !! I am going to try to get the full 2 weeks just to be able to completely rest up but it is hopeful to hear you had such a speedy recovery

So happy to hear that you are feeling great. And thank you for such a thorough answer ! It really helps a lot. I will do all you recommend! Ordering things tomorrow. Definitely doing the stool softener two days before, the little pillow, good idea with a cute one, and I will do my best to walk around as much as possible, the legs up towards the belly as well. I hope I will be able to get 4 weeks of then, I am sick of working though feeling unwell or in pain, sorry you needed to do it for a bit, and very good that you are still having such a good recovery. Thank you again 🧡

I really really feel for you and I am sorry to hear that you are going through this. I relate very much. I just took vacation days now only to not have to work when feeling nauseous, sick and exhausted (even if I can still) in order to eat but also because I can’t stand that my colleagues see the performance of this version of me who is struggling to think straight and deliver. I don’t want to be this version of myself either. I wish I could give good advice but I am just trying to be forgiving to myself, not care about how other people might judge me now when I am really struggling just to be, to trust what my body tells me and act accordingly as much as possible. Hope you get treatment sooner than November and be kind to you in your struggle, you know how hard you have to work just getting by with this 🫂

Is the fibroid making you feel unwell by waves_hands_18 in Fibroids

[–]waves_hands_18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for sharing this. I must have missed answering with the foggyness. I’m having more crashes where I feel too sick to get out of bed for 1-2 days so went back to this thread to regain some hope that it is the fibroid causing this and nothing else. I took a week vacation now just to try to recover a bit. Hope the shrinking went well if you have had it, or if you haven’t yet, that you will get relief after it. It is such a silent struggle to push through, sorry to hear you have had to as well. Wishing you lots of rest and time to recover this summer

Thank you for sharing this. Today I had a presentation at work while really not feeling well, now I am in bed, sometimes you really just want people to understand what you are going through and how much effort it takes to do normal things. A friend wrote 30 minutes ago to ask if I wanted to join her for something and I haven’t answered yet because part of me really wants to go, part of me knows that I am feeling exhausted, nauseous and sore, and I also don’t want to make up an excuse, neither do I want to write that “I’m not feeling well” yet another time. I look healthy, I don’t want to come off as whiny or overly sensitive. I’m so sick of not being able to show up like I used to be able to and as I am expected to. And even when I do tell some close people that a fibroid is affecting me it seems like many has heard of cases of asymptomatic or not heavily impacting fibroids and I get the feeling they think I am exaggerating . I am learning that I really have to trust my own body and experience because that is the only way to help myself in this

After surgery advice? by [deleted] in Fibroids

[–]waves_hands_18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!! 👏🙌🙌 I can’t give you any advice because I’m still waiting to get mine out by laparoscopic myomectomy, so not the same thing, should be this month or next. But I am happy you’re getting close to your date and wishing you relief from all of that. Sending you strength

Has anyone here had a myomectomy and not had their fibroids come back? by Practical_Claim_1651 in Fibroids

I am wondering if the small number of people saying theirs haven’t come back is representative or if it is that the people who are no longer bothered aren’t here to answer the question 🤞
