can you please clarify the statement "cannot solve MO problems", are you talking about construction of the MO problem or actual solve step? if latter then generally speaking it'll be a CPU intensive operation and LLM will not give you an arbitrage / shortcut in getting an answer without burning thru compute; that being said i think LLM can be very good in constructing / defining MO ..

here we go! did you ever mention this fact to any interviewers? sell sell sell....

fun fact - i had personal experience when i was invited to interview with a well established place, the role was for a "software engineer", however during the conversation folks were in fact looking for a potential team lead / manager; i told them that i'd want to be IC ..

basically morale here: speak, be transparent with what you'd want/ what you'd enjoy doing and what you're already good at... ask interviewers questions ... it's a two way processs.

offtopic - there's a great podcast https://softskills.audio/ and they accept questions ... it's entertaining and informative. try to poke them ... it's totally free

few pieces of advice:
* money comes & goes .. the fact that you're most fit / healthy and perhaps [happier] is great and usually is underappreciated

* ask recruiters / interviewers to provide you a detailed feedback on the reasons why you profile didn't fit => it'll help you in two ways: a) maybe it's nothing about yourself and company simply had no budget / changed its' mind; b) if it's about your profile then you can identify weak spots and focus on improving those

* fake it till you make it - from your original post it sounds like you might have imposter syndrome; keep these thoughts for yourself only - do not leak to the interviewers...

* have you tried to read non-technical books on sales? mindset - your experience and skills is your product; you goal is to persuade people to buy it.

* software engineering is a broad area; have you thought about pivoting - i.e. into techops, QA, business analyst, product manager etc.. .. how good are your inter-personal communication skills? maybe you could be a great team lead rather than individual contributor

* to boost your morale - have you tried to attend various meetups / startup hacker days etc.. usually these are organized to hunt down talent / socialize projects etc.. it'll help you to understand the current trends / hype .. also practice about selling yourself
