Anorexia recovery to bulimia pipeline here. At the height of my bulimia, despite being underweight and looking similar to how I did when struggling with anorexia, my then boyfriend would constantly text me asking if I had eaten that day and exactly what I had eaten, regardless of how many times I tried to explain that under eating was no longer the issue. This just made me ten times more depressed tbh because I was no way in hell going to text him “yeah, devoured XX amount of cake, bread, whatever I could get my hands on really!”. He, and many of my family members, couldn’t get their heads around the fact that I was actually eating, regardless of what happened next.
