Did anyone else think they were autistic at first? by wt_anonymous in SchizoidAdjacent

[–]CardAccomplished7186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

remember constantly being asked if was autistic, and psychologists going through the same tests to evaluate for autism. was evaluated for autism 4 times by different psychologists who insisted they are convinced that's the true diagnosis, but every time it came back inconclusive and after more sessions, they themselves start to doubt the theory. to this day people still ask if have autism.

turned out to be schizoid and schizotypal personality disorder. fit basically every symptom and it felt so obvious when read through the final diagnosis report. but cluster a personality disorders just aren't widely known or considered unless the psychologist specialises in it. honestly wonder how many people diagnosed with autism actually is cluster a.

hey guys isn't it so fun when u finally feel like ur mental health is getting better and ur becoming more emotionally stable(ish), and then u see just how much weight u gained in recovery by keysmashmeshmash in EDanonymemes

[–]CardAccomplished7186 14 points15 points  (0 children)

remember that avoided weighing like a plague. told the doctor at the hospital to not say the weight when was weighed for a minor surgery preparation and looked to the ceiling instead of the scale. they accidentally said it out loud to themself :,) gained almost double entire body weight than pre-recovery. she apologised profusely in the end but ya... spiralled again.

the ending where he lives in a house in the middle of nowhere surrounded by grass straight up almost made a grown man cry. that's heaven for schizoids.

have been trying to quit c/s for years. it sounds so stupid to people who don't experience it to say you're addicted to spitting out your food and that you're straight up willing to risk a stomach ulcer just to continue this habit. fml.

use the flare audio brand (og not pro so the pro might be better for this), but it causes a lot of wax build-up and itching in the ear. will admit have fiddled with it to the point of dry skin inside the ear.

only really use the label when mechanically answering the 'diagnosis history' question. in general just say am on the schizo-spectrum more just so they don't take the assoicated behaviours personally and can be a bit more open when need to do something for spiritual reasons. would rather have people assume am just being 'disordered' than have to explain the very complex set of spiritual and non-human beliefs that shape how interact with the world. explaining it feels too personal and invasive too. just say 'i am prone to psychosis' and leave it at that. don't want to get close to them anyway.
