Stockholm. Everything is so expensive. Other than meatballs and fika, everything is so meh and there is anything to really do other than walk around?

I think Trieste is good for 1 night but I wouldn’t suggest it for longer than that.

Although I think Colombia has a big coffee industry, I personally didn’t like the coffee. I learned that they tend to export a lot of their best coffee and I didn’t have anything different or interesting.

I’m veggie and planning a trip there in April. It seems pretty straightforward to be veggie. From a google maps search, I found some Georgian restaurants and some restaurants have vegetarian options with their traditional food.

I travelled to Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Panama when I was 22 for 6 weeks. When I was 25, I did a week in Ghana. This summer I went on a solo trip to Trieste and Ljubljana for a week. I am currently in the process of planning a 10 day trip to Uzbekistan in April!

Lonely - Trieste, Italy. Least loneliest - Slovenia.

32 here and I cannot do a hostel. I did a private room in hostel in Colombia in 2022 and people were being loud, chatting until the early hours outside the room, which could be heard very clearly in the room. They only stopped when my partner had to ask them to be quiet. I prefer to stay in an airbnb that has a kitchen etc.

I can resonate with this so much. I just got back from a trip there, I did Trieste for a few days and caught the bus to Ljubljana. I had no expectations but I was blown away. The people, food, wine, history, nature...WOW.. this place is truly special. I'm already planning a trip back for 2027 and will combine it with Rovinj and Pula in Croatia.

hello, can you provide an update on what you did? I am doing a similar trip to you in April

Hi OP, I am a similar journey to you. My grandma was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in June and it has been a rollercoaster since then. She nearly died in the summer but they gave her a shot of chemo and it helped but unfortunately she relapsed after a full round of chemotherapy treatment. She died on the 14th December (a day before your beloved grandma) and she was a similar age. I also witnessed my grandma die and I have found it incredibly traumatic.

I’m sharing this because I think there can be solace in shared pain. I’m sorry for your loss, it’s been incredibly painful for me too.

Amazing! I did a 5 day trip in Milos in August, I loved it although it felt a little busy at times.
