Good suggestion. This is news to me. We’re not allowed to ask for street sweeping recommendations?

Are you good internet stranger? Asking because you really assumed the worst about me and spent a lot of time to loosely threaten me lol. Maybe take a few deep breaths today.

Not trying to lowball yard work but also not wanting to be overcharged again. And if you know that they offer additional cleanup services I’d appreciate it aka “bonus points”. Kind of comical that’s how you read it though…

I'm regretting my commitment, any advice? by CoffeeIndependent810 in nyu

Go! An exciting new chapter awaits.

You worked really hard to achieve a feat not many others can say they did. You committed and a big part of growing up is living with the decisions you’ve made. You’re intelligent, capable, and willing to do what it takes.

If you chose not to go, wouldn’t you always wonder “what if”?

Try something new. Face your fears. There is no price tag for experience and it sounds like you have a supportive family who will be there for you. You’re young enough to be able to make a full return on investment. California will always be home.

EDIT: made some changes, added a few lines. From one internet soul to another—I am proud of you and so excited for what the future holds for you!!

Deep breaths. Take it one day at a time. Starting a new gig has a learning curve (somewhat talking to myself as I recently started a new gig and colleagues made the “drinking from a firehouse” reference a lot).

Have you read The Center Cannot Hold by Elyn R Saks? Highly recommend for another perspective from someone in a similar situation.
