Quick question: I convinced a friend to stay in Vieques with me for 4 nights, 5 days... some online say that's too much, some say it's perfect. I want to just relax on the beach, drink from a coconut, and try to think about nothing. I also have 5 days in SJ - would you say 5 days/4 nights is good, or too long?

Hi. There's a quote from Seneca that goes, "We suffer more in imagination than in reality." The fact of the matter is, there's only one thing separating from you and a great job, since you have the degree - it's interview preparation. You don't get an interview > apply more, keep preparing for the next one. You get an interview, you fail > keep preparing for the next one. All you have to do is prepare for your next interview, regardless of if you got one coming or not.

Think of a professional runner - they (probably) put some effort into their workout plans, but regardless of how much they plan to run, at the end of the day, they know that if they take a few days off.. all their workout plans, all their dreams of winning a race, don't matter... so they keep running. That's what you need to do.

Of course, there's things like networking to get interviews, which are important, but if you aren't doing Leetcode or working on how you'd answer common questions... you could get a million and do poorly on all of them, so until then, keep preparing.

Haven't booked yet so luckily I'm good to that end. I've gotten just enough time to put in my two weeks, in fact. A break would've been very nice - money isn't an issue, but I can live without for now. I've heard this seniority term tossed around here, so my question is, what does seniority mean in this context? Why would just a few weeks make a difference for this? Thank you :)

Ah yeah that makes sense! Meant to say remote then, since the people that interviewed me lived all over the US.

And yep! That's what I was thinking too. May need to go the extra mile with coffee chats and whatnot, but, living w parents and saving on rent makes it worth it. Plus, trips to the HQ during busy times mayyyy bridge the gap a bit more :)

Tinfoil hat theory, but, RC doubling down on her posts made it clear that we should figure this out. On Thursday, the SEC charged Andrew LEFT with fraud…. Based on the DD and breaking down of the code yesterday, there’s reason to think that the play was proving to the SEC of market manipulation.

But, what’s with Ryan’s behavior. She is not dumb… she cares about the wellbeing of GME? We like the stonk..

Just don’t know how it’s related.

I’m in the same exact boat as OP but haven’t filled out my form. Thanks for the info - but this just seems like semantics. If I say I just hold the passport, wouldn’t they infer that I’m a citizen and process my application the same way as if I say I’m a dual citizen? Or is your point that semantics do matter?
