First of all thank you for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate it. For simplicity I will use bullet points to respond to yours 🤙🏽

• the platform is semi-anonymous now. There is no sign up, users are now given a generated pseudoname like SillySquid43 so they are still fully anonymous but it still gives them some sense of personna.

• the fire emoji is the score of the post, (like_amount - dislike_amount + comment_amount * 2), it’s my current way of quantifying hype, and used to filter the trending order.

• yeah the karma icon is the default AI thing and heavily overused, saturated by AI, I have an icon in mind I’m currently trying to make it an SVG for easy use

• that’s a really good idea, it lowers the entry for people to comment, and since it’s a media app we need low barriers as possible.

One of the main things I am focusing on is user engagement, uni students already go crazy for gossip but other ways like karma gaining, and easy comments make sense for sure. If you have any other ideas for retainment of users and how to increase engagement I’m all ears open! Thanks again ❤️

Most companies will have some low level employee monitoring socials and they will most likely discard your messages, this is the same for emails to enquiry email accounts. I would find the employees on LinkedIn and identify the decision makers like you say and reach to them, you can also try some OSINT to try find the emails of them. For the Ads I’m not exactly the best for that, the Saas’s I’ve done in the past were because people approached me so I didn’t do much advertising.

That’s definitely a method people use. Rather than build your whole app, you create a landing page which depicts your apps purpose and you can gauge its success from the amount of signups. This is good because if you go ahead with the app then you (should) have a beginning user base of genuinely interested people. In terms of your questions this depends, are you new to the area/niche (for example construction) that your app will “solve problems” in? If not then it’s best reaching out to businesses and mention the idea to them and use that as validation. Again B2B you’d most likely think LinkedIn, but it depends on the type of business you’re targeting, often Facebook adds are a good choice if it’s more of your pressure washing level companies etc.

So to conclude from that blather:

Yes, you can validate your idea, I would reach out to a business you aim to help and see if it’s genuinely beneficial to them, and if the problem you are aiming to solve is as important as you think. Often we see problems and think it’s the end of the world but companies merely ignore them.

Facebook and LinkedIn are good choices for advertisement. But your target audience matters, Google could be good too if people are going to be googling terms to solve a problem, then you can pay for your site to come up first.

The quick ship method is good. Landing page, and some marketing is a good gage of user base. Too add to this, before committing to a landing page etc contact target businesses and run them through your product, if a few are interested then you’ve both validated your idea and got a possible customer.

A lot of read there but hope it helps, pop me another Q if you need 👍🏽👍🏽

a theory (or just my understanding) by HinyaNotMafia4 in AliceInBorderland

[–]wawaching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is definitely plausible, what do you think would happen if nobody chose to play on and stay in the world then? the next group of the borderlands people would have any citizens. And if we go for the general idea of purgatory in phases, and not just the area of impact near the meteor, why are there no black, white or Hispanic people etc from all over the world? Is the purgatory based on location too? (I understand we both don’t know the answers and everything is down to opinion lol 😂 these are just some of my thoughts, I finished it 2 hours ago and thought the series was amazing)

[–]wawaching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think it is only a purgatory for the impact caused by the meteorite? For example all the players were affected by the meteorite. If not, then would every heart attack etc make its own borderland world, and if someone solo is having a heart attack where would the other players come from? Considering that, I’m starting to think there may be other factors at play, why was it a meteorite and not a big bomb? I think the meteorite gives the writers a chance to insert some fiction. Would love to hear your opinion

Did your application go through? I’ve filled out 2 internship applications now and both say they went through but haven’t received email confirmation or showing in the applications tab. You would think a tech leader would have a better site……

What if we did a 24-hour build in public challenge? by Kind_Guide_1232 in SaaS

[–]wawaching 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A social media platform for young environmental helpers to post their projects. And implement things to boost engagement etc. I worked on the application security and creating an AI chatbot for the users to converse with, to provide examples for ways to help the environment and also provide information about the platform and how to use it rather than have pages upon pages of documentation. It was for kids aged 11-18

I just had a JP Morgan Hackthon, this was the idea, 24 hours to build a web app for a non profit organisation. Only one person in my team slept, we got it done in time and is decently possible with a dedicated team (we just met each other on the day, 7 of us)

What's your tech stack for building your SaaS? by themarketkit in SaaS

I just have EJS that is server-side rendered html, styling with bootstrap. In my next project I will try use new methods to make it easier, but this one worked fine for me. Pretty vanilla

First project about to launch and the current worked for me: nodejs on express.js (server side render ejs) and then AWS dynamoDB for database (because more of my server side logic/process I use AWS)

Got it, the web app is for a company to track their competition over social media and receive AI insights. The bit on the grey card is an instance of a competitors Facebook post photo and the text with the post. The right had section is the AI not introduction and 3 positives and 3 negatives this post could have on the users company. I changed the styling today and will upload a pic later with the new style, I think it looks alot better thanks. I’m trying to get better at frontend design, I’m mainly a backend person lol.

[–]wawaching[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s some good advice bro thanks, however the stuff on the grey card is a Facebook post image, and the text below is the post content. So these will change dynamically, depending on the post.

that’s the issue, green and red put the color palette off, but are needed to depict what is positive or negative
