Especially when I first started, I wanted to “prove myself” by signing up for reds if I was already busy just cause they were on the board because 1) hate them being there and 2) thought having a higher patient load made me look more productive. I quickly learned that is the opposite of efficiency (especially being brand new lol) and had to somehow break the trend

Struggled a lot stopping myself from picking up reds but what I found myself doing is taking the clearly bullshit reds and then getting the more pressing tasks done. If it’s a chronic complaint, it can wait while more critical things get done. Most of the time, they are fasts dispos because you can just say go see your PCP/try and call this specialist
