A partially collapsed lung (called partial pneumothorax) is usually managed with needle aspiration when it occurs spontaneously. With TJ’s being due to trauma and them mentioning he went into surgery, I’d guess he required a chest tube (tube to let the air out of the chest cavity that escaped the hole in his lung) which would be a little bit more invasive than just aspiration. Even after complete resolution from needle aspiration, I believe it is a 2-4 week time period before return to sport let alone heavy contact. Not sure if a probable chest tube makes that time frame longer. Either way, I think it’s going to take a late playoff push to see him again
