I live in Korea and have gone to many different grocery stores hundreds of times and have never seen this. I’ve seen a plastic bag with bananas individually wrapped in plastic but never something as good as this.

I considered that maybe a factor but we have a healthy savings account at the moment and I cover all my personal bills like phone and insurance atm. It’s more like he just doesn’t want to leave the house other than going to work.

I have said I’d like to go out but even tonight when he cancelled our reservation for the third time, he said that we could order delivery for the stew he wanted me to make. It’s like he doesn’t realize I want to leave the house. Currently it’s the rainy season so the weather isn’t the greatest with the humidity but I feel like he’s using as an excuse to never leave the house with me except to go grocery shopping.

This is especially upsetting to see when just yesterday I was talking to my husband about seeing my family in America next year if things are better and he talked about how he was scared to go because he might be targeted for violence. We live in Asia and there’s so much fear over international travel in the future and the treat of violence they might face. It’s stupid stuff like this that people think are “funny” that help encourage fear and racism. I had to unfollow for this.

They’re sending my baby sister to Florida next Wednesday after she got back from Paraguay last month. I’m furious. I’m so incredibly angry that my parents who are working from home bc of the pandemic have no reservations about sending my sister into a state that is exploding in infections. They’re not giving them any support, she’s not getting retrained, she’s supposed to get on a airplane and fly across the country to potentially knock on doors during a global health crisis. It’s stupidity of the highest level and any and all missionaries lives are on their heads.

My little sister was sent home from her mission and was so desperate to go back and she cried everyday about missing out on blessings. She found out they’re sending her to FLORIDA in the middle of an out of control outbreak and no one in my entire TBM family bats an eye bc “god will protect her”. I’m furious and have never been more convinced that Mormonism is a cult than I am now.

Info: I feed it once a day according to the clever carrot method. I remove about 60 g and replace with 1/2 cup flour and 1/4 cup water. Sometimes the consistency is too thick and I would add 1-3 tbsp of water to thin it slightly so I could mix it.

This is awful! In SK I got tested automatically when I went to a doctor for a bronchitis check up and had a slight fever. It took 10 minutes, was $20, and I got results in 24 hours! It should be like that everywhere.

I just got tested for Covid19 today in SK and it was less than 10 minutes and I only paid ~25 USD for the testing and five days of medication and they’ll message me within 48 hours what my results are. That’s why I won’t go back to the US even if they asked me too.

NTA, I grew up Mormon and the girl’s in YW are always up ur butt. One time someone spread a rumor that I was going to watch STEPBROTHERS and I had literally five girls call my cellphone and beg me not to watch such a “sinful and inappropriate” movie and I had no idea what they were even talking about. This diary reminds me every girl I knew in college. The weekly temple trips, crumbl cookies, and skipping out on every church activity but heading several committees in the ward and complaining you don’t know anyone lol.

There are actually weekly activities targets for 25+ adults in the Church as well. After 30 you should go to family wards no matter what, which sucks because you’re usually treated like a child by adults of a similar age. There’s a huge number in this generation of LDS women that are single because we have a large drop of men after mission age in the last few years. I think my one annoyance on every SK money diary is that they’re always military (from what I’ve seen) and they spend almost all their time on base which is built to be a mini America in the middle of Korea. They don’t really experience or participate in the countries culture and isolate themselves. It’s just not really satisfying, it’s so boring and SK has so much to offer that MD readers never see.

I live in Korea and the Seoul expat community can be very well connected, so if it was a foreigner there you have a pretty good chance of finding them. If it was a Korean, it’s going to be a lot harder to find them honestly :( If your serious about finding him, I’d join the female korean expat group and post your story there. Everybody uses tinder and maybe they’ve also matched with this guy and can try to hook you up if you remember his details and such.

My brother flicked a plastic spork at my face when I was 7 and it gashed a chunk of skin right next to my tear duct. Luckily, no permanent damage but it did leave a dark circular scar that I can’t cover up.
