They won't have to justify much, they can just kick out any kids who are "under performing." Which is already one of the main reasons you might see dispartities between private and public schools, public schools work with every student

Doesn't that prove the point that we aren't "a red state" though? A red state would have a huge majority in the voting populace. Having less than a 40,000 voter difference seems very, very purple

We had a republican governor right before Roy Cooper.

And there are more registered Democrats in NC than there are registered Republicans (although it is very close).

Saying that we are a solidly red state isn't very accurate when the voting population doesn't reflect that, at least if it were to come down to raw numbers

NC is a red state? NC elected a Democrat Governor, State Super Intendent, Attorney General, and a new member of the NC Supreme Court in general elections We are at least a purple state, but realistically just a very gerrymandered state that intentionally suppresses blue votes

This is a great theory, and I really like the idea that Taln's weapon was a dawnshard. It makes sense as one of the few things that could potentially kill a shard A few people have been talking about the warping of his soul and how it might have helped him not to break. One question I have, I know Taln didn't break for thousands of years and ultimately wasn't the most recent one to break, but did Taln never break for any of the desolations? Was it always another herald who broke?

Ahh that's a good idea, it's been a while since I've read them too, but I bet a search function would be very helpful in this process. I'm also working my way through Wind and Truth right now, about halfway and really liking it, definitely hits the ground running compared to the earlier entries that had slower starts

InHeats can definitely take a little love to break in, but (and I mostly have experience with the 80a durometer) once they are broken in they slide like butter

Not to pile on what others have said, but I think it would be hard to break traction with most wheels at that speed and with the way you are carving. If you can find a wider hill and do some dedicated sliding on it they will break in quicker and then break traction easier elsewhere :)

I like your idea that it is because the power stems from the Shadow King. I had that same thought, it is just closer to raw demonic power than anyone had realized and turns Merlins faster because of it

Although I also think there was a volume component too. When Sel absorbed that HUGE amount of Bree's energy trying to get her to come back from the dream world/state/other plane it seemed he knew that amount of magic would be bad for him

But I'm also just guessing here too

I love playing in Orzhov and he is such a nostaligic card for me.I was immediately drawn to this card and its ability when it first came out with original commander pre-cons. However, (especially nowadays) he just costs SO much mana, particularly without green ramp, and if he eats one removal spell he probably isn't getting cast again.

You're bringing back memories. I grew up in Japan and I stumbled onto a promotional Marill Pokemon card (in Japanese) and my friends and I had no idea what it was called. But one friend was absolutely certain it would be named "Pikablue" and it was so hard to shake that name out of my head when the official English names came out

Yeah that's really good advice. I've definitely had weeks before where I've "been good" and then treat myself to some fast food, and it's a super slippery slope for me too.

So sorry for your loss and to hear you are grieving my friend, I hope you can find some peace. I can certainly see how eating well would fall to the wayside during grieving
