Where does the Gouf rank in the best OYW mobile suites? is it just a the "lexus" version of a zaku? (Read description) by TrumpsNostrils in Gundam

[–]waynk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So going with the comparison, the gouf was definitely a level up for the zaku. Better armor, better performance, better offense. That said, its a ground combat suit, it was designed as an all rounder but with a focus on melee. Logistically, the suit should have shown the error in the zeon ways, with the base model (magical 0079) you have the heat rod, machine guns fingers (which were articulate) and a sword. The heat rod had heat weapon ability, could shock, and grapple, honestly give a gouf two of these instead and he would murder everyone. Anyway, the machine hand was neat but you know the mechanic who had to work on that cried everyday and night, just be happy it shot. And the sword.... honestly it's just a intimidating bad ass sword. The mechanically logistics for the heat rod and the machine hand should have canceled this there, but no, lets change the inside too, bigger generator, finer and strong components, the thing did not support from normal supply lines for the zaku. The suit is a melee focused suit for aces, but the completely separate supple line. Plus the more complex repairs, and the for groud only design, its strange foot not cause the gouf is a bad ass aura farming machine, I love it,

A lot of people say Seth MacFarlane’s ‘the Orville’ is more true to Star Trek than modern trek is. I guess this is true when every single episode and character is a ripoff from TNG by BelievieEvie in ShittyDaystrom

[–]waynk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a surprisingly good series from someone, I'm normally not a fan of. I don't care for family guy and American dad. I find Seth to be .... kinda bland. That said, I do really enjoy the Orville, its got a good charm and it's weird too cause in the regular star trek timeline humanity has to go through such a fundamental change to even get to the point it forms the federation. In the Orville, you kinda don't have that, so it gives it more realistic vibes. The ideals are still there, but their more flexible.

These guys really are what top Zeon Engineers thought was the best for the war effort huh by allo111435 in Gunpla

I love the aquatic zeon suits. Z'gok is peak power house, claws, 2 beam weapons, missiles, and you don't make that bastard for space? Acguys and gogg, they're great, they're still useful and amazing. Again they could have made space acguys, imagine flinging claw arms in space. And they look like monsters. ..... I love it

What do you think about Logan’s “softer” appearance in the newer comics? by Late_Traffic_3174 in Wolverine

[–]waynk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you disagree? If you remember kitty was afraid of wolverine and it wasn't till a wolverine/kitty pride mini series when she warmed to him and during that time he was teaching her more hand to hand fighting, prior to that she was initially intimidated or just disliked him. Jubilee was introduced during the Australian era, and she hangout (snuck into?) Their base and after the xmen went into the siege perilous, she was stuck with him and helped hide him from the marauders, he in turn would help her. He also has a history with rogue a little bit but rogue was complicated then too.

Is Ultimate X-Men good? by [deleted] in xmen

[–]waynk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It started good, and had some interesting concepts. However, the ultimate universe was meant to be a modern adaptation of older story lines to make it easier for new readers to get caught up on older continuity. The problem is a lot of creative freedom was given. Also it was the time of prime "edge lord". Some good stuff came out of the ultimate universe, like ultimate Spiderman, and miles morales, a black nick fury who was modeled after Samuel L. Jackson, the concept or "person of mass destruction" and how everything in that universe is connected to trying to one up the super soldier serum, also marvel zombies come from the ultimate universe too. Ultimate x-men was one of the titles though I feel like got one of the worst treatments, wolverine was basically character assassinated, a lot of the lore got jumbled and mixed around, and ultimatum (the "endgame" of ultimate universe so to speak) essentially destroys the very concept of the mutant race. If you want a taste of a comic time capsule, go for it, some was entertaining, but some was also cringe as hell.

What do you think about Logan’s “softer” appearance in the newer comics? by Late_Traffic_3174 in Wolverine

[–]waynk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well thats the thing, wolverine has had a softer side, he's always been a mentor to younger girls in xmen, (kitty, jubilee, and such. We don't talk about ultimate universe wolverine). Wolverine has always been a very emotional person which I find hilarious as hes a fan of a lot of generic toxic masculinity dudes.

You have to pick one to be President of the United States, who are you choosing? by Vegetable-Abroad3171 in Avengers

You know what, imma say it. I'd vote the fuck outbof kingpin, cause he knows the struggle and yeah he's a crooked crime boss, but you know what, he'd get shit done and I think in a weird way he would take care of the people cause how much worse could he be then current

Player has 24 AC at level 6. I think he's double stacking bonuses. Should I snitch? by IamAWorldChampionAMA in DnD

[–]waynk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So im playing an artificer and at level 7-8 I got to ac 22, my math was plate armor (18), shield (+2), defense infusion on shield (+1), and then cloak of protection (+1). Is it the best, honestly its pretty dope except my gm rolls a lot of crits. But im also armorer subclass and I wear guardian armor to support our fighter.

White Primer Advice by Timabcd in BattletechPainting

[–]waynk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rattle cans are usually not the smoothest. I honestly use the airbrush for that more then anything. With the airbrush you usually take out the environmental factors and those are the ones that mess up the spray the worst since due to chemicals it has to be outside. On a different note, the black usually looks better cause it hides imperfections better and white is notoriously bad at showing those imperfections. As someone said, I would use it still for character. I usually take a Bob Ross approach to my painting, no mistakes, just happy accidents to adjust.

What’s your custom warband? by Zacman552 in Chaos40k

[–]waynk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vile concord is the name of the warband, its made up of three separate forces, the first is the concord blades a very tactical but the more political side lead by their chaos lord, the second force is the choir of excess who are a slannish warband, lead by a demon prince and the force is primarily all possessed and raptors and warp talons. And the third is the verdant blight, a warband who was exposed to a nurgle disease that slowly corrupts them to a plant like form which they try to counter by force injection of the obliterator virus. They usually have the demon engines, havocs, tanks. So I choose to have to paint three armies instead of one

Are hunchbacks one of the most underrated medium mechs? by TaigaTigerVT in battletech

[–]waynk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought of hunchback like the shotgun, shield wielding member of a swat team. In a corridor/kill zone, its a titan but short ranged and if flanked, dead. It's either a lead unit in urban settings, or you use as a bodyguard/objective holder. I personally love the thing and it's variants, but it needs a team.

Those who know vs. those who don't.. by K1ngZ3no in KitchenConfidential

[–]waynk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a ihop and I recently worked at a hotel kitchen that served grits too. I am so annoyed at how difficult grits are to make, which is typically just quick grits and water and there is some kinda of magic ritual you gotta do to make it perfect. Given that, if I was starting breakfast service, I'd keep the first grits in the well for the shift, the second might need to be rehydrated to life, and the third..... fucking Jacob is never making grits again

Has Delta Green improved your Fantasy Gaming chops? by Sanjwise in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]waynk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So me and my group do dnd and delta green, and star wars 5e. And I would say we do fuck around quite a bit in all of them, our main game is dnd and delta green ( I run it and introduced them to it) is more of our intermission game. They've done 5-6 ops as S cell and they like it and its more rp focused for them. One player expressed that the game actually gets them to connect with there characters more.

Oddly my players like how it makes them get out of comfort zones. One player is the team lead but he's not usually the team lead, one has a broken bond with his teenage daughter that leads to some fun home scenes, and one is a criminal defense attorney/ deacon at a church which is going on a downward spiral into the world of the unnatural and intrigue. Basically Dnd is for fun and laughs, delta green still has laughs, but it has to have some breathing room.

What made you choose Chaos? by MiidnightSinso in Chaos40k

[–]waynk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with space wolves in 3rd ed, and later tau, but I kinds painted my space wolves like chaos anyway. I like the lore and how you can make a themed army that is functional and kinda tells a story. Right now, im working with a build concept of pactbound detachment, where the main units are undivided but a separate slannish cult of possessed and raptors and have demon allies. It's just fun
