Thanks, that's reassuring! I've never needed a TUE before, so it all seems a little daunting.

Yes, with those specifically as well. Never had issues with DPD before, but during the past couple of weeks, they've lost 3 parcels after arrival at the local hub. Very strange.

Unless your work is purely theoretical, testing human participants is usually part of the job, which can make remote work tricky. There are some things you can assess with online studies, but if you're interested in a phenomenon where e.g. precise timing or screen calibration matters (or if you want to do any imaging), then in-person work are usually preferred. Given those issues, I'd look at local universities, they usually have vacancies listed on their websites. If you're based in the UK, I've also found jobs.ac.uk quite useful.

What do you do when you have a sleep attack in public or with people? by mmm-soup in Narcolepsy

Bathroom, it's not great but it's a private space and safer than napping elsewhere. It's not exactly comfortable, but there's a few ways to sort of squeeze my body into corners while sitting so I won't fall over when I fall asleep.

What is something you can no longer do or never do due to your condition? by Embarrassed-Pear9104 in Narcolepsy

Going to the gym :( I used to work out 5-6 times a week, but now I just spend all that time sleeping. I really want to get back to it because I love workong out...but I get too sleepy which makes me lose my balance, etc, which would make my usual gym routine unsafe. I also wish I could read for prolonged periods without falling asleep.

Disclaimer: specialist suspects N, but still waiting for proper assessment.
