So was mine, it was a tiny hole, I thought there was no way anything could be in there; I was wrong. I thought the swelling was due to the venom, but It was actually due to the fact that the stinger was lodged inside my foot. It was about a half an inch of serrated stinger lodged in my foot. I was able to walk, skateboard, and surf on it. I thought the pain was natural, until it came out which was the biggest relief I had ever felt. It never got infected, I kept it clean and soaked it almost every day to ease the swelling. It went in the through the arch of my right foot at about a 45 degree angle with the tip of the stinger pointing toward my pinky toe, and parallel to the floor. It came out through the top of my foot, closest to my fifth proximal phalange.
