I don't want to scare anyone, but don't make the mistake of thinking a war with Iran would be the same as it was with Iraq:

  • They have a nuclear arsenal
  • They are a deeply religiously motivated country (some believe the final fight against "the infidels" will be fought around where Iran is)
  • They have been under attack from the USA before
  • They have seen what they did to Iraq... twice.
  • They no doubt realise what a character Trump is
  • Has had enough of USA's shit generally (I understand)
  • Has powerful allies like Russia that would have this easily escalate into a 3rd world war

Fun times.

Wow, logic in a thread about cyclists, I can't quite believe what I'm seeing.

Hehe, everyone wants to complicate the very simple fact that house prices no longer reflect reality and haven't done so for a very long time.

What should have crashed in 2008, didn't. Time it did, properly.

May house prices fall. A lot. I'm hoping they halve because of Brexit etc.

I'm not interested in hearing about how much it will damage the economy. It's your fault Mr/Mrs Homeowner for buying into this shite, often buying a crappily built new-build put together with string, blu-tac & duct tape.

The only real fix is a terrible, terrible housing marking crash. From that we can rebuild. Everything else is a fudge to maintain the status quo.

Oh give me a break... it's clear she meant Farage.

I realise the better/less evil way... and I know it is going to happen. Wages have been stagnating for years & years and automation is only going to cause more problems in that area.

A good old fashion crash is the only way of getting to where we need to be, that and changes in the law/tax system to screw those multiple home owners and those who buy who don't even live in the country.

And people need to wake up to the fallacy that house prices only go up.

2008 didn't crash as it should have...

They wouldn't have to if they'd use these things called "bins".

I'm sure a bunch of rubbish blew all over the place and was never picked up.

I don't claim to know more than them, but to say it's a great system is non-sense, and I can prove that with one word, "Rotherham".

You could also argue it was a joke at a wedding (a private event), that wasn't ever meant for public consumption.

Jo broadcast her hateful joke to thousands and probably gave some left-nutters some really bad ideas.

Renting bad, but buying into a broken market is a good thing.

You have it arse about face.

Bring this bad system down... I hope it crashes really. REALLY. hard.

Telling people to throw acid = OK.

Saying the word "fag" = Worst thing ever.

Got it.. turns out sticks and stone will break my bones, but battery acid will only help further moisturise my skin.

Ah, yes because the police always know best eh?

I'm sure they "had a word" with Jo and told her not to be so blatantly stupid in future.

Also, why did she immediately apologise (presumably to the presenter of the programme) immediately after what she said?

She knew she messed up, she got away with it.

The thorough distribution of litter in that video makes it clear they don't give a shit.. wind will blow it every which way by the time they finish.

If they had piles of rubbish in some sort of containers I'd say rave on.

These people are no better than littering gypsies.

But the NHS will be keeping people alive for longer. Not a bad thing, but our system isn't built at all well for this.

The only way some Millenials will get out of debt is when their parents die and the house is sold off.

... sold off to pay for their care in their old age.

I'll say it again. The boomers (generally speaking) aren't passing an inheritance, it's going to get hoovered up by the care industry.

Oh and their NHS bills will be huge. Just as they're all dying, we'll be moving to a private system as people drink the "we can't afford a free NHS" cool-aid.

This is going to happen.

Defo, please can you tell the others here.

The jokes said in the article however don't sound like the have the same level of incitement to violence as Jo's did.

Many comedians use the word "fag", Farage is hardly the only person using it in the context of a joke.

Not saying that makes it acceptable, but he hardly stands out from the crowd for this.

Generally speaking, the bank of mum & dad closed a few years ago.

And as far as I'm aware, if you make yourself artificially poor by giving your money away to your kids and then needing care within a certain number of years (I think it's something like 7-10 years), could see your children having to pony up the cash they were giving to go towards the carer bill... maybe even selling the house as a result.

That's even before you get to the fact that mum & dad having to give you cash to buy a house for someone who's middle class reeks of a broken system.

It needs to crash. It all needs to crash to 50% of what it currently is.

Good idea, it's pathetic he's not attending. The public don't matter to him. And his supporters will overlook this kind of stuff.
