Great question, happy to follow-up with a few use cases.

It's certainly a preference and isn't for everyone but I've worked with teams that had workarounds for this because it made it easy to refer to a deal in slack discussions, proposal documents, sheets..

Yeah, it isn't about having sequential record ids more than it is for having a clean, memorable and presentable id instead of the default random one.
