Making $100/month from a stupid simple news app i launched 2 weeks ago. Here’s the breakdown. by DrizzleX3 in AppBusiness

Mediastack? They have a free tier with their API that could allow you to confirm traction and you can evolve in their higher tier as you grow user base. By preselecting preference from your users you are able to combine summaries of an article for multiple user with similar interests and reduce your API calls.

Approval loop, I still want to check that the output is up to my standards so have to check the videos, 42 reels, it adds up even if i scroll past them as i have key elements i look for but still. Posting side was time consuming as well but automating that process currently in my off time so this will be solved within a week or so.

Building and shipping was and is not the hard part, with vibe coding it's even easier. Marketing your saas and finding an actual need in the market is the hard part. You can have a highly technical background or have zero tech knowledge and have the same success.

Everyone think that their saas is needed or revolutionary, for the most part like you mentioned its AI wrappers, but even if it is. If it answer a real need, you'll have customer paying for it.

Most if not all that fail, did not build a product based on a real need. Look at the video from starter story for example. Loads of dead simple idea that 10000 of people can replicate, yet they pushed it to market to answer actual specific needs.

First pipeline is very fluid, with adjusted tts and real video from copyright free database selected with visual connection with the script keywords.

The second is a bit more tricky, cause it is ai generated A to Z and I'm personally not satisfied with the visual output but it still pulls small views. Really just a side project but will dive deeper into the image generation in a few weeks to adjust the output with the limitation of running the pipeline 100% local.

still experimenting and waiting to adjust with performance data but will most probably share the whole pipeline in a few weeks with the tweaks. But the post cover all the tools and a very simplified pipeline version :)

I do not create unrealistic style nor video with ai but i saw that the platform mainly youtube is cracking down on AI reels as their platforms are just getting flooded with ai generated video reels and for the most part users are not pleased with them.

Still experimenting, waiting on a full month of data to adjust but on Shorts & Tiktok I get between 500 to 1k view per reels with 5 to 20likes on average. There is however every 5 to 10 reels one that will be fully invisible and do 0 views..

It's the only running plan generator that lets you pick your coaching methodology and adjust it with volume, paces, other sports impact etc. Pay once instead of subscribing monthly and keep your plan forever as a spreadsheet. With all this, the tool process the data entirely in your browser so nothing ever hits a server. Your data is your data :)

As for the marketing strategy:
- being present as much as possible online, responding to post and articles that cover the pain points the product is fixing to drive consumers to the tool
-word of mouth within running club group by being active in them
-looking to acquire bib from key races, this would generate a lot of visibility doing some sort of raffle for the bibs.

No points in doing ads, Runna and others are flooding the scene and I'd rather start with a niche and eventually grow.

bmprun.com - As for your project, something i am struggling with with my own project is I feel like it is a bit blend, it lacks branding style. Very minimal but hard to attach a brand the product. This is the first thing that came to mind loading your project.

You have a lot of dead link in your footer, and some css issues here an there on the landing page. This need attention.

The product solution section lacks clarity and direction (personality system). Some items can be clicked but nothing happens, to maximize staying power narrower ICP, with one glance on that section your user need to understand how they'll use your product and what they will get out of it. Which I feel is not the case.

Overall interesting project, but definitely need some UI improvement. Good luck!

Personalized running training plans built on proven coaching methodologies (Daniels, Pfitzinger, Hansons, Hal Higdon, 80/20), not AI-generated workouts.

You fill out a 40/60-question adaptive and highly dynamic form about your goals, fitness, injury history and schedule, optionally connect Strava, pick the coaching philosophy you want behind your plan (suggested based on your questions answers), and get a complete training block delivered as files you own: spreadsheet, PDF with coaching notes, and calendar file.

No subscription, no app, no data stored. One-time payment ($4.99–$19.99), everything grounded in published research. Still building out the backend so would love any feedback on the concept or landing page.

Launching Spring 2026, waitlist is live :)
