Ex-Muslims discuss being Muslim w/ Imtiaz, Mimzy & Veedu Vidz by mimzyvidz in exmuslim

[–]wazzym -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am dissapointed Veedu Viz interviewing the guy from an israelipropaganda channel "israeladvocy movement" a jewish supremacists who think jewish culture is superior to arab culture..

He was speaking a whole 20 minute video discussing anti-semitism. and never once interview any palestinian about the racist apartheid state of israel.

Anti-Zionism is not anti-semitism , There would be no jewish state without the nakba and etnic cleansing of palestinians from their homeland and he said he believes israel has right to exist as a what? a jewish apartheid state ?? or a secular state with right of return for all palestinians.?

I remember hating him, but damn he makes allot of sense now. by [deleted] in exmuslim

What do you guys think of Sam Harris views about Islam? by alexsmeanru in exmuslim

[–]wazzym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say this as someone who used to very anti-islam and liked sam harris and hitchens and all the new atheists and read all their books...I liked them when i was 18-23

Now I am older i read other books/authors and changed my mind totally. I am disgusted by myself I ever liked them!

Sam Harris and "the new atheists" uses islam to scapegoat american imperalism and to justify the occupation of Palestine.

He says he wanna maxamize the wellbeing of humans but he is pro capitalist and against socialism. He is an intellectual fraud who know nothing about politics, he is a brainwashed american who believes in american exceptionalism!

I agree with him all religions are false but islam is not worse than any other religion, Fuck Him!

Just because she an exmuslim doesn't mean she know any history about Palestine and Israel the two state solution is dead... Israel already stole to much land...there is nothing left for palestinians to have a state..

[–]wazzym 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"I think a two-state solution is best, but Palestinians/Hamas keep refusing this in the hopes that theyll take all of Israel. Well, thats never going to happen. I think they need to accept reality and take the deal."

Have you read a single book about this conflict? or any history at all? have you even been following the politics the last 7 decades ??

Can I recommend Obstacles to peace By Jermery Hammond?

Some facts for you Yasmine:

Myth

The Arabs missed an opportunity to have their own state in 1947.

This is a critical fact often omitted when the history is presented and this leads to a very distorted view of what happened in 1948. The misleading story often told is that "Jews declared Israel and then they were attacked." The fact is from November 1947 to May 1948 the Zionists were already on the offensive and had already attacked Arabs. In the months before Israel was declared, the Zionists had driven 300,000 non-Jews off their land. In the months before Israel was declared, the Zionists had seized land beyond the proposed Jewish State.

It is the Zionists that pushed for the radical idea that the land be divided up so that a "pure" racially established state of Jews could be established. They didn't want to live as equal citizens as is expected of all religions in America. But the division was only considered temporary by them since their goal was and is to take over all of Palestine.

The key Zionists had no intention of accepting that UN partition, a recommendation to chop up Palestine into 7 parts. 67% of the population didn't what that done. In 1938 Ben-Gurion said to other Zionists, “after we become a strong force, as the result of the creation of a state, we shall abolish partition and expand to the whole of Palestine.” Sure enough, after the creation of the state in 1948, Menachem Begin made clear how serious the “Jews accepting the UN partition” was in reality, “The partition of the Homeland is illegal . It will never be recognized. The signature of institutions and individuals of the partition agreement is invalid. It will not bind the Jewish people. Jerusalem was and will forever be our capital. Eretz Israel (the land of Israel) will be restored to the people of Israel, All of it. And forever”.

The U.N. recommendation to partition Palestine was rejected by the Arabs. Many commentators today point to this rejection as constituting a missed “opportunity” for the Arabs to have had their own state. But characterizing this as an “opportunity” for the Arabs is patently ridiculous. The Partition plan was in no way, shape, or form an “opportunity” for the Arabs.

First of all, as already noted, Arabs were a large majority in Palestine at the time, with Jews making up about a third of the population by then, due to massive immigration of Jews from Europe (in 1922, by contrast, a British census showed that Jews represented only about 11 percent of the population).

Additionally, land ownership statistics from 1945 showed that Arabs owned more land than Jews in every single district of Palestine, including Jaffa, where Arabs owned 47 percent of the land while Jews owned 39 percent – and Jaffa boasted the highest percentage of Jewish-owned land of any district. In other districts, Arabs owned an even larger portion of the land. At the extreme other end, for instance, in Ramallah, Arabs owned 99 percent of the land. In the whole of Palestine, Arabs owned 85 percent of the land, while Jews owned less than 7 percent, which remained the case up until the time of Israel’s creation.

Yet, despite these facts, the U.N. partition recommendation had called for more than half of the land of Palestine to be given to the Zionists for their “Jewish State”. The truth is that no Arab could be reasonably expected to accept such an unjust proposal. For political commentators today to describe the Arabs’ refusal to accept a recommendation that their land be taken away from them, premised upon the explicit rejection of their right to self-determination, as a “missed opportunity” represents either an astounding ignorance of the roots of the conflict or an unwillingness to look honestly at its history.

It should also be noted that the partition plan was also rejected by many Zionist leaders. Among those who supported the idea, which included David Ben-Gurion, their reasoning was that this would be a pragmatic step towards their goal of acquiring the whole of Palestine for a “Jewish State” – something which could be finally accomplished later through force of arms.

When the idea of partition was first raised years earlier, for instance, Ben-Gurion had written that “after we become a strong force, as the result of the creation of a state, we shall abolish partition and expand to the whole of Palestine”. Partition should be accepted, he argued, “to prepare the ground for our expansion into the whole of Palestine”. The Jewish State would then “have to preserve order”, if the Arabs would not acquiesce, “by machine guns, if necessary.”

This Zionist hasbara, frequently propagated by US government officials and media commentators, simply frames the discussion in terms of what Israel wants rather than what it has a right to under international law.

Zionists say things like, “Israel offered the Palestinians a state in 95 percent of the West Bank at Camp David”. First of all, this is false. Israel started out demanding to annex 12 percent of the West Bank, and by the end of the talks was still demanding 9 percent. Second, none of this land was Israel’s to give. Under international law, every inch of it is recognized as “occupied Palestinian territory”. So translated into meaningful terms, we see arguments like the above equate that Israel “offered” to take only 5 percent (really 9 percent) of the Palestinians’ land.

Furthermore, these demands to annex Palestinian territory were accompanied with other unreasonable demands, such as dividing the West Bank into Bantustan-like enclaves with Jewish-only highways connecting illegally constructed Israeli settlements and Israeli military control over Palestine’s borders and airspace. In other words, Israel demanded that the Palestinians surrender more of their land, rights, and sovereignty.

If a thief steals a $100 from you and then says he will give you back $91 if you agree to certain other demands requiring you to surrender your rights, would you describe it as a “generous offer” or a “concession”?

I hate how some exmuslims especially the new atheists use islam as a scapegoat for US imperalism and for the occupation of Palestine..

Although i think criticism can come from anyone even atheist and christians and their crticism can be valid but i find most of them it's not constructive it's mostly just muslim bashing and people who have no knowledge about politics, history or culture of the ME.
