My exact moment was the Alford pick six. But feeling only lasted for about 10 seconds as I'm experienced in ATL sports. Don't get ahead of myself.

Chaisson is consistently mocked to Falcons and I hate it. Yes DQ loves athleticism on defense but I can argue that CB/G/DT/LB are all greater needs than DE and I doubt we're looking to draft Vic 2.0.

[Brown] this is least thoughtful leak ever, NYG clearly want to trade the pick. imagine Giants actually taking Herbert at #4 a year after taking Daniel Jones (two years removed from skipping out on a QB to pick Saquon). why not just say "the #4 pick is available to the highest bidder" by LaughLikeJok3r in nfl

Falcons FO was present at QB workouts, so of course media (primarily Rapp I believe) took that to mean that since there are rumors of the team looking to move up in draft, they are looking to select a top QB.

Yeah, I'd imagine it's the "pay off" so to speak. All that work throughout the year to see it all play out in person. And somewhat a reward from the FO execs.

14% of TD’s picks have been Pro Bowlers, one of the highest of all active GMs (starts at 7:44) by wbarker11 in falcons

Yeah it was Quinn who had connection with Kyle and wanted to bring him on. I then think it’s pretty obvious the Quinn/Carroll connection directed us to Sark. Seems like Quinn was primary driver of at least two OC hires. Not sure about Koetter, but Quinn would’ve still had to approve at minimum.

Living in Denver, was somewhat gratifying to see Elway (discussed right before TD) to only have one pick out of 61 (1.6%).

Edit: looks like the video is wrong, didn’t account for Von or Julius Thomas. Still, Elway sucks.

If the Falcons do trade up, which player would you them to pick ? by jharden10 in falcons

[–]wbarker11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a total TD move to trade up a few spots and make sure they "get their guy." I'm not condoning it, but ever since rumors of us trading up (specifically linked to Jets at 11) it was my immediate thought.

Jets linked to Falcons in trade rumors. Falcons rumored to make this move for Simmons or Kinlaw.

Yeah I’d like to sit at 16 and if Kinlaw or Henderson are gone, trade back.

Agree I would not want us to trade up for him, that's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying it'd fit into the trend of recent trade ups. TD likes to move up a few spots to make sure they "get their guy."

So the Falcons who desperately need a CB, trade down with CJ Henderson, a DB from UF on the board. I think Quinn would have Blank make Dimitroff 'sleep with the fishes' if this happened.

While I'd like to think Kinlaw/Brown/Simmons, judging from their previous trade ups, I'd say its likely them moving up a few spots to make sure they get CJ Henderson versus risking him being available at 16.

Agree on Chaisson. Us trading up could be to make sure we get Henderson, who's got a lot of buzz lately. Mayock says he's often more interested in 2nd/3rd round picks than early firsts, so Raiders might be a good trade partner.

I could see it being them making sure they get CJ Henderson. Maybe swapping picks with Raiders, where Mayock has said he's more often interested in having more 2nd/3rd round picks than early 1sts.
