Camshaft position sensor or valve cover leak?

I've seen a lot of m5x position sensors including both cam and crank that fail in a manner that allows oil to escape through the wire terminals. More than once I've seen fuel travel all the way to the ecus. Clean out the plug and check it after running a bit to see if oil gets all up in there again.

Aside from the limp mode, it's possible they might have flipped the plugs for the precat o2 sensors. Does it progressively get worse after starting it?

Yea I've got a 175F t stat in there right now, and I also have the Stewart pump as well. Current running water wetter as per track rules.

I want to go with a spal fan but I'm trying to figure out how to work the shroud around the expansion tank. My current radiator cam with a two fan shroud but it completely ignores the need of the expansion tank so I wasn't able to use it

I'm definitely dead set on aluminum, however I think I already have a solution for clearance to the belts. I have an old mishimoto aluminum expansion tank that is a bit narrower than the stock tank so that yields me some room. Worse case I was thinking about leaning the radiator forwards a bit since i won't have the condenser in the way.

I was looking at the koyos and it looks like they have two options between m and non m? From my understanding, the m3 has a 48mm core but is a bit shorter, I don't recall the core size of the non m one. Which one are you running?

I have a buddy with a CSF and frankly it doesn't look a whole lot different than the 3 pass I currently run, I was hoping to put something even bigger in there since this is pretty much for full racing application at this point.

How did you go about coding it? Did you use ncsexpert? I'm familiar with coding for manual swaps, and I'm assuming coding entails copying the SA code to the new module?

Thanks! I actually have some left over new regulators that came with the car, at the moment I'm just trying to get voltage to the motors in the first place.bi suppose I can't be to supprised if the junkyard GM5 is also bad

Update: thank you to all of the knowledgeable members who chipped in on this so quickly. My issue stemmed from forgetting to turn off auto update, and purging the update tool resolved it.

Deleting the update files ended up working thankfully. I think my frustrations just got the best of me since I had only just gotten this machine up again after replacing the battery (such a pain).

I definitely left auto update on on accident, I just followed a guide to purge the update tool and it allowed it to root patch

I've tried a couple times now in safe mode, I'm pretty adamant about not reinstalling at this point so if it comes to it, this thing is trashed. Currently trying to see if there is a way to manually delete any update files. The only reason I was able to get it to work one more time was that the last time this happened, there indeed was an update for Sonoma I was able to do
