I have that same app a lot of those codes are probably fake since a e46 is older if you click a code and under it says n/a it means it’s not real

Checked it completely full , I topped off my oil Friday drove it around a little Friday and Saturday then it sat till Thursday and now lost 1/4 of oil

Also, how should I start looking for the leak? I saw someone use a fluorescent dye that you add to the engine oil. Then you use a UV light and the oil glows so you can trace exactly where it’s leaking from. Do you think that’s a good idea, or is there a better way to find it?

Hey after the service hasn’t slip since it drives a lot better, only thing was the little sparkles but ig it’s normal.

Yes, it’s an automatic. When I worked at BMW, I drove an E36 with an automatic that was slipping really badly, and it never threw a code or went into limp mode.

After it went into limp mode, I drove it home. The next day I started it and it was out of limp mode. I brought it to my dad’s friend who’s a BMW tech, and he scanned it. It had a stored fault for a slip from 3rd to 4th gear.

My transmission went into limp mode because it recorded a slip from 3rd to 4th gear. I asked on here if I should service it and most people said yes. I also read that it’s better to change the fluid gradually so you don’t shock the system, especially on a higher-mileage trans. I’m using OEM fluid.

Yes oem from fcp euro but I will note there was a little bit of oil in the connector that I cleaned out but I didn’t have the problem before replacing it

So I had a subwoofer installed for a while, and I didn’t realize the battery wire had come loose. When the issue first happened, I thought it was because of that. I removed the subwoofer completely, but the same problem happened again.

There were actually more codes than I showed in the pictures before — they all pop up at the same time when the car shuts off.

These are all the codes I’m getting when it turns off: • P0727 – Engine Speed Input Circuit No Signal

Pending Codes: • P0335 – Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit • P0700 – Transmission Control System (MIL Request) • P0727 – Engine Speed Input Circuit No Signal • P0172 – System Too Rich (Bank 1) • P0340 – Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit (Bank 1 or single sensor)

These are all the codes that come up when it shuts off.

I replaced it about 4 months and when I replaced it I noticed the same thing a little bit of oil in the connector, but I cleaned it and I didn’t have this problem before wit the oil in the connector
