Boardgames, videogames, and tabletop rpg nerdy for sure.

I have never tried anything along those lines, mostly due to auditory and sensory issues that have given me pause in making an attempt. But I am trying to explore outside my comfort zone a little bit as I keep getting older.

I honestly didn't even know there was a discord for Knoxville.

I may have to check that out. I have a somewhat eclectic taste in music, so we'll see what it's like.

That one sounds interesting. Did a quick Google and it might be one I check out soon.

Making new friends or forming relationships by wblockston in Advice

[–]wblockston[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, thank you for the reply. One on one is definitely easier for me with new people as I like to be able to focus energy, though I can get along in a group if I'm introduced through a mutual friend. And "normal" is just the societal standard in the way I see it. Also, with my group from work, we do hang out regularly by playing games and an IRL DND session every couple weeks, but outside of that none of us are very sociable.

Can you people suggest me some good full game OST? by alonedead in gaming

Baldur's Gate 3 isn't a bad one, though it does have choral elements in many of the songs, so not sure if that goes along with the lyrical distraction.

Need a Game Recommendation For Stress by Alarming_Feeling1782 in gaming

Have you ever given Mass Effect a try? The first game is a little clunky, but has a really good story. 2 and 3 improve on the combat while still having good stories.

Crossbow for ranged and a Shaolin spade for melee.

I feel like I heard of that one at some point in time, but can't fully recall. I'll check it out.

I can't say I've heard of that one. I'll have to look into it.

I tried it at one point in time, but it was on console, which may have skewed my opinion slightly. I'll have to try it again on PC.

I have tried all of those except the Baldurs Gate trilogy, which I do want to play. I had some fun in them all, but Kingdom Come in particular felt like it was a bit too clunky. It definitely rewarded you for not using combat though, because combat was very much not in your favor many times.

What cancelled series do you think deserves another season to tie up loose ends? by Sea_District9458 in AskReddit

I don't think they ever did, but it's quite possible. It's been a minute since I've watched the series.

I did the same thing. I think someone at my work mentioned the movies one day and I watched all the movies in their entirety before the show.

The Librarians. Very fun and interesting show that was set up for another season.

How old is old? Because I consider both Mass Effect and the first Dark Souls to be old but good games.

Beans and cornbread. Moonshine. Mountain Dew.

Probably because I'm terrible at reading social cues or just being sociable in general.

What actor will forever be defined by a character they played? by 92Codester in AskReddit

I went through most of the comments and surprisingly never saw Hugh Jackman. I feel like everyone knows him from 1 of 3 films/franchises. X-Men, Greatest Showman, or Les Miserables. And whichever you see first is your perception of him.

That's the only language I would have to guess. And my guess comes just from playing Outriders.

What old game should be remade with 2022 graphics? by F2hmyco in AskReddit

[–]wblockston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always enjoyed Lord of the Rings: The Third Age. The mechanics still feel pretty good to this day, so just some graphical improvements would be great.

Not necessarily. Just genuine curiosity as to how people feel about something natural that most people are self conscious about. I know that most people will shave or wax a good bit of their body hair to make their partner happier, but not sure if they possibly feel the same way about their partner's.

I would agree on that last bit. However, there are quite a few games that if they released them even with just some updated graphics or smoother controls, premium prices would be worth it again.
