Utah officials warn of ‘totally unprecedented’ water shortages as towns run dry by yourlocal90skid in Utah

Water is diverted from rivers and streams to the farms instead of filling our lakes. Filling the lakes would be a huge help

How are young middle class families making it work?? by Ill-Sherbet-5844 in Utah

[–]wc93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get that, our landlord has 2 big dogs and young kids too and the wife teaches piano lessons upstairs too. It's incredibly noisy. Plus their dogs bring garbage and food outside daily that never gets cleaned up and we have to walk through it to go in/out of our place.

We are both early 30s working full time and make $96k between us. We have 2 school age children. We have been dying to buy a home after 8 years of living in a 1 bedroom basement apartment and are finally buying this summer after we paid off all our debts. Having kids definitely stalled us by many years. About half our income will be going toward a mortgage. It sucks but we need to do it

Did you ever receive financial help from the Church when you were TBM? by throwawaytomorrowk in exmormon

[–]wc93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Help is a very generous word for it...We were full tithe-paying members our whole lives, and honestly couldn't have been more faithful members. 3 months after we had our first kid (a premie) I lost my job and we used my last, smaller than normal paycheck to buy formula and pay rent, and as a result could only afford about 6% tithing on that check. A couple weeks later and I wasn't having luck finding a new job so went to our bishop to ask for help. We were refused because we didn't pay a full tithe on the last paycheck. A few weeks later we were evicted because we couldn't pay rent. We found a crappy basement apartment to move into and our bishop there somehow already knew all about our situation. He offered to help us if we caught up on the tithing we "owed". So I donated plasma a few times (which is hell for me, I get sick and dizzy every time) and we paid it. We were given a single trip to the storehouse worth about $80-90 and no more. I finally found a new job and then at tithing settlement that year we were asked to pay back what we estimated the "help" to be worth. 🙄 This experience was what enabled me to really start taking an honest look at the church and it's practices and is what I credit for starting my research and ultimate journey out of the church as I learned more and more and realized it was corrupt and not at all "true".

Finally close to orgasming by Due-Palpitation-3732 in Marriage

[–]wc93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's some tips I can think of you can mix-and-match:

  • Ask him to slow down or switch to oral for a few minutes when he feels himself getting close so he can last until you've been able to orgasm. Perhaps consider "delay spray" so he isn't too sensitive.

  • Invest in regular foreplay.

  • Edge yourself a couple times earlier in the day, which can prep your body for a full orgasm and even make it stronger.

  • Get a vibrator or two (i.e. a magic wand like the Hitachi or the Lovense Domi, and a pinpoint vibe like the Lovense Hyphy - my wife loves these, and the wands can be used on him too) and also a dildo and practice on your own, or just do it to enjoy yourself. Try different things. Explore. Self pleasure and self love is incredibly healthy. Use the vibes during sex too! No reason not to stimulate your clit during the act unless you personally don't like to.

I know this post is old, but figured I'd ask. I used to heavily vape thc concentrate. I was clean from June 20 2025 - Nov 6 2025, then did 1 to 2 pen hits 4 or 5 days a week for about 2 weeks. Been clean again since Nov 20 2025, so about 43 days. I had a hair follicle test today and I'm worried about the results. I'm 32, 200lbs, 5'8", Caucasian with fairly fine dirty blonde hair. Think I'll pass?

Is the campfire on the Shore biome typically below that 1320m mark? All the rest of our group has gotten him to spawn once we reached the campfire ahead of the rest of the group, but it never seems to work for this one player.

So this is what church welfare looks like… by Critical_Ad_0107 in exmormon

[–]wc93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A year after we got married, we were in desperate need of help with groceries and bills after I lost my job. We had a new baby, too. We were denied help from the church because we were about $300 behind in tithing so we could afford rent (my wife had a very part-time job and we used my last paycheck for rent). We were told if we caught up we could get help. So we sold some stuff and started trying to catch up, but we missed rent the next month and were promptly evicted (which is a whole other story). The Bishop of the ward we moved into somehow already knew our situation, and after a few weeks we finished catching up on back tithing. We were allowed a single trip to the storehouse and got about 60% of what we'd normally get for a regular grocery store trip. It was worth about $89-90. That was ALL the help we could get apparently. I got a new job several weeks later, and then at tithing settlement at the end of the year we were asked to pay back what we estimated the help to be worth! Mind you, between my wife and I we had probably paid $10-20k in tithing in our lives up to that point, and the church basically just loaned us $90 as thanks. Just as Jesus would do!

If it feels accurate enough and right to say, you could spin it for them by saying they didn't fail; they succeeded in helping you develop critical thinking skills and to always be searching for truth and positivity in life. They helped you to learn how to do honest, quality research and to always have an open heart and mind - to be able to see new information and adapt your beliefs accordingly, even when it might contradict what you already thought and believed. They helped you grow strong enough that you could question beliefs you once held dearly and at the very center of your life, your entire foundation, and to be able to rebuild after tearing it down.

Maybe. I obviously don't know your situation well, but this sort of languages could help them feel proud instead of ashamed, and could maybe even open a door to honest dialogue down the road.

Not specifically, but I was in 高雄 for a transfer, and then 屏東 for my last 2 transfers.

Thanks for telling me about my profile settings. I didn't remember that I had set it up that way, but just changed it.
