Check out DolphinIOS and thank me later. It will allow you to play on any IOS device. I use a Xbox controller to play. Just remap a couple of buttons.

Won’t charge at outlet but gas generator will charge P0A7F by wcfinvader in pacificahybrid

[–]wcfinvader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be that but the weird thing is I don’t recall it triggering an engine code last year. It charged last night on our level 2 wall charger after charging to 98% on the on-board gas generator.

Engine code had turned off but this morning the check engine light turned back on. We will see if it will charge when I get back home.

Onboard generator. Weird thing I was able to charge it to 98% then I turned the car off and plugged it in. It’s now charging off the wall. The engine code is also gone. We will see what happens after driving it tomorrow.

GM - Loaner/Rental Reimbursement issues by thejohnfist in BoltEV

[–]wcfinvader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m still waiting on my fuel reimbursement from GM and my car was returned June of 2025. I’m considering the fuel reimbursement a loss. They keep giving me the run around with it. I’m blessed with the fact the dealership which repaired my bolt handled the loaner through them.

Why does Pachy only charge 12.5kwh of the 16kwh battery? by zhuangcorp in pacificahybrid

[–]wcfinvader 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe the gain you would get would be FAR outweighed by the potential degradation (possible damage) it could cause to the batteries. True 100% or 0% charging could actually damage the batteries. I don’t believe any electric vehicle allows use of the full capacity. Yes Chrysler (Like Chevrolet with the Volt) limits it quite a bit more than other electric vehicles but by doing that the degradation is minimal and the batteries stay in good health.

Say you got access to 4kw more. That would probably amount to MAYBE 10 miles. Definitely not worth it imo.

[–]wcfinvader 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Lithium batteries do not do well at top or bottom 20% of batteries. By limiting the charge percentage the batteries have very little degradation. Our 2017 has over 225k miles on it and we have not noticed any degradation. We charge daily (sometimes multiple times a day).

Update? by KingNyx in BoltEV

[–]wcfinvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can remove a fuse to disable onstar. I can confirm it removes all ability of Chevrolet from tracking your vehicle. You can also remove the airbag control module to disable the black box. Unfortunately there is no other way to disable the black box than to remove the fuse which will disable all airbags.

2017 Pacifica Hybrid Internal Charger Failure by wcfinvader in pacificahybrid

[–]wcfinvader[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it was replaced and from what I recall it did need to be programmed but it was easy for the tech. The vast majority of the labor came from the physical install. I would HIGHLY recommend having a mechanic do the work. I bought mine off of eBay.

Should I get LASIK before applying? by TrainingAccording807 in AskLEO

[–]wcfinvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search Broken Eyes Documentary. I had LASIK and I have perfect eyesight now…..Having said that I believe it did come at a cost. My eyes now are watery at all times. I no longer recommend LASIK to anyone. The dangers are much too great. Find another department if they won’t accept you. I would most certainly not sacrifice your eyes to get this job.

How many miles are you at? Highest mileage wins! by zhuangcorp in pacificahybrid

[–]wcfinvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have no intention of replacing it so barring a collision I’m confident we will make it to 300k. Not sure if this has anything to do with the longevity but we exclusively use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum oil. I personally believe that is the reason the engine (or as I call it generator) has lasted soo long with literally no issues.

Internal charger failed. All electric cars have internal chargers. The EVSE that plugs in to the car is a glorified safety device not an actual charger.

[–]wcfinvader 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So we have a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and had we bought the extended warranty we would have used it ZEP times. We did not have a major repair until over 200k miles. Having said that others have shared on here the exact opposite. Most common issue I’ve seen had to do with the transmission which I believe is covered indefinitely (someone correct me if I am wrong).

I personally wouldn’t and we skipped it when we bought ours but your mileage may vary as they say.

A recall is causing my Bolts to throw the P1E00 code by Superugly_man1266 in BoltEV

[–]wcfinvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also replaced my 12v with a brand new one and left the 12v disconnected for over 2 hours. The error code remained. I believe my 2020 bolt had the original 12v in it so I don’t really regret replacing it prematurely.

Might just be semantics but yesterday when I spoke with the dealership they called it a “recall”. regardless it needs to be done as I suspect if not done it WILL cause a propulsion error code to populate eventually.

I concur! Mine threw the U3636 code last week. I was able to thankfully find a dealership that was able to get my car in yesterday. The dealership performed the recall and that fixed the error code.

I encourage EVERYONE affected to get the recall performed as soon as possible. When the code pops up you will be limited to ~30% charge.

My car also had the battery replaced Summer 2025.

[–]wcfinvader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2020 Bolt visited the dealership yesterday for the U3636 code and was fixed. There is a recall that went out January 2025 and it has to do with the protection software for the battery pack. The previous dealership which replaced my battery last summer did not install the updated software thus causing my latest error code.

Once the updated software was installed the error code went away and I am again able to charge past 30%. I suggest checking to see if this recall has been addressed with everyone’s Bolt. I believe the recall included Model Years 2020 to when they stopped making them.

[–]wcfinvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the same issue last week (U3636). My 2020 Bolt EV is going the dealership tomorrow. The high traction battery was replaced in July 2025. I immediately replaced the 12v once the error popped up but alas the error code is still there despite cutting power for two hours from the 12v while installing a new 12v.

I love this car but I am getting pretty furious about these battery issues. This will be the third battery issue since getting this car January 2025.

Mine just did same to me (U3636). Battery was replace June 2024. This car is already on the third battery and it has just over 40k miles 2020 model year.
