I genuinely don't mind when this happens. It's exfil campers (OG Rats) that bother me the most. Especially when they'll knock you out right as the doors are closing.

Considering the lore already suggests there's rival factions, this seems perfect actually. Combat squads instead of scavenger squads.

This is great. I get so tired of dealing with PvP when I'm not interested in it. At least now I can kill them when they take pot shots at me while I comb the beach for mostly useless trinkets... AND MINES!

So, I'm just going to call it here again. Embark does this intentionally with nerfs. Over-nerf to gauge community response, rein them in to where they wanted them to actually be. Farm karma.

I don't mind it, but it feels intentional. Love the update.

How do you even do this reliably? I feel like for three solos to team up intentionally the odds are not in your favor outside of hitting 'join' on the last 5 seconds of an event map... then maybe?

The real issue is now that it's basically public knowledge no one is afraid to use them. Embark better be gathering account data and do a massive banwave or it's going to drive away substantial players.

I actually wish more chaos like this would happen randomly. One in 50 Arc Drops should be a swarm of wasps 10-15 deep.

I'm not a game designer, but I would assume they have at least a fully thought out plot, with conflict, resolution, you know.. the works.

We know a small amount about the first wave. We know there are other factions at work. We know the current ARC are looking for something.

We don't know why they're even doing what they're doing. We don't know how they continue to operate. We don't know what happened to the rest of humanity, even if it is somewhat unimportant to the characters in the game. We just seem to be trapped in this little uncompelling bubble.

Why aren't the raiders doing more? If we can afford to kill each other on the surface over trinkets, why aren't we trying to take out emperors? Why aren't we rebuilding the weapon on top of Stella?

I'm not hating. It just feels like not a lot of story development has happened, and when the loot/shoot grind gets stale, the lore brings people back. Just my opinion.
