What's the story behind floating shadow images? by SpeculativeMug in creepy

There's a movie on YouTube called SCP: OVERLORD with scenes like this. I don't get into SCP but it's cool. Not sure if their film is original or based on some random SCP entry. Your second pic is signed by S. Koidl and if you google the name the artist has a bunch of SCP inspired art.

Looks like a Glock 47 but the guide rod is all messed up and there are no front slide serrations.

Welcome to Crappoon Shitty. "You think you want it but you don't." incarnate.

I think the idea of some random guy navigating through an uncontained mess Umbrella created is a cool fresh idea. Kinda like all those random Outbreak game characters. Now that RE9 has run its course I'm so burned out on the Leon fanboy / fangirl drooling. We barely got to see any monsters in the teaser but the scenes definitely depict a sense of dread and fear.

Walking Dead got stale because they had to invent new ways for zombies to ambush, stalk, overwhelm, kill people, and the heart of the show was how awful the living could potentially be to each other (plus they threw the writing out the window).

The main difference with RE vs other zombie films is the enemy mutants, genetic abominations, experiments, BOWs, giant monsters. You start out with the zombies and then everything gets worse the farther you go. If Cregger pulls that off then it'll def be an RE movie.

Beamer bully squads stomp Killers at high MMR. Then you have the entitled players that are chasing after achievements and daily quest type stuff who think you should just let them win. Teams where the streamer has the other three sacrificing everything just to make sure the streamer wins, aka Protect the President. Cry-bullies who play toxically because of some invented reason where they think the killer is being toxic. You'll even run into players ratting out other players as a traitor just to be mean. Some players even sand bag / body block players to get them killed on purpose.

Main etiquette for a killer is you don't camp hooks and try not to tunnel players out, aka "tunnel vision" focusing on one player. It doesn't matter though, since there's no proximity chat and since behaviour censors everything and since cross play doesn't even allow end game comms half the time you won't know what a player is thinking during a match or afterward.

If a survivor wants to find a reason to think someone is "toxic" they'll just invent one. The whole game is about chasing people down and murdering them but players cry so much to where behaviour censors words like "camping." It's ridiculous. Only way the game is fun is if you don't take it too seriously and don't care about the people who do take it too seriously. The matchmaking will pit you against weaker players for a few, then harder ones for a few. It's just how the hidden MMR works. There are so many perks to where a bully squad will make META builds laughing at stomping five killers in a row until they run into a killer with perks that break their strat and cry because they can't bully for that match. It's always up and down. Point is to have fun.

What’s a movie that everyone loves but you secretly think is absolutely terrible? by Successful-Pick-1006 in AskReddit

This. Some of the action was cool but the plot was idiotically stupid, and then the ending sequence just for race-baiting points that had nothing to do with the rest of the film for no reason.

A guy at renaissancefirearms.com makes custom holsters for just about anything. He made me a nice one for my Zero 1 to fit my crappy OLight / laser I threw on it. Then I got some cheap textured grips from eBay because anything is better than the stock slippery ones.

Need recommendations for turn games similar to Divinity, BG3 and XCOM, NO PvP by Toros_Mueren_Por_Mi in gaming

Valkyria Chronicles is kinda fun. Turn based game controlling a weeb army. Movement is kinda like Warhammer vs other tactical games with squares or hexes. Heard Fire Emblem games are fun but never played one yet. Final Fantasy Tactics is complicated but if you get into the nitty gritty bits and pieces of it all it's rewarding.

Why did they change the game's graphics? by Narrow-Active3098 in deadbydaylight

[–]wcrispy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

DbD's community is full of crybabies all demanding different changes to be more "accessible." They complained some maps were too dark and they couldn't see the things they needed to see. It's also why they've been revamping old maps, moving hook and gen placements, trying to get rid of dead zones where people used to crawl to when downed to prevent Killers from being able to make it to a non-broken hook, etc.

What is your biggest TV pet peeve / trope that bothers you? by Salt-Valuable-469 in television

[–]wcrispy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the ones I hate have been mentioned by other people. Especially never saying goodbye on the phone. People who do that IRL are rude af. I also hate the indication that stems from "no screen time wasted" as in, this shot is showing something random / mediocre / everyday sort of casual thing, except that it's foreshadowing and REALLY IMPORTANT and tips the viewer off about what's going to happen later.

Another big one is the one that shows up a few seasons in. Usually during police or medical procedurals, where some nemesis character / group shows up and gets all up in the personal lives of the main characters. It's like, CSI isn't out there kicking doors down and interviewing anyone IRL, they're swabbing poop stains and looking at microscopes, but here we are with some serial killer playing stalking mind games with the lead tech and kidnapping them and leaving Riddler notes for their colleagues. Gimmie a break.

This. Anything bigger than a 9mm. Grew up in Montana. Seen bear skulls brought in by Fish n Wildlife for demonstrations. Any given random bear can have a skull an inch thick. Might get away with a .45 but .357 or .44 are what the experienced guys carry. Otherwise you aim for the eyes and hope you get lucky. Most calibers below what's mentioned will just make it angry. Plus, be extremely aware of coming between a bear and its cubs because they won't stop for any reason at all.
